The future is bright.. Young squad (in areas) that's is still developing..

Top 4 is ours to lose...

We will get these cunts (I hope so) in the next round of the champions league and do them over.. Over two legs we will own them..

Mourinho is yet to get one over us in Europe.

Furthermore we will avoid the 'FA' biased/shit referee's we seem to be getting in the big games this season.

BTW I still maintain. Under no circumstances do I want them in the Final, should we both make it..

I agree, if you take the emotion out of it it's not that bad, I got crucified for suggesting this right after the match. Chelsea are the only team in the top four we have left to face, and even if we lose to them and Chelsea win every single game they have left, we still qualify if we hold up our end of the bargain. We really are in the driving seat, yesterday was a massive blow in the chase for 2nd, but not for 4th.

Sorry, but I can't see any other way - should we both make it to the final, we will have to meet them... ;-)

BTW, I agree that it's not all doom and gloom...

Course it isn't. Still got a great chance in the CL. And those other twats might get knocked out on Tuesday.

And you can see where our team is going, the roadmap for their's is a hotch potch radomiser

Perhaps those clamouring for Utd in the CL draw might think twice after yesterday ?

The shit cunts would do similar to any team showing attacking intent.

I don't think we have a hope in hell of making it to the final. Getting through the next round would be a decent performance this year.

I wouldnt mind getting Utd in Europe, firstly because we’d get a good neutral referee who isnt from England.

Getting guaranteed CL qualification & to the quarters is still a good season. Our performances on the pitch have been better & more consistent than last season, Klopp proved he learned from the collapse last January & did some agressive rotation & gotten a lot out of a much more solid unit that just lacks quality in depth.

Whilst everyone wants silverware, the side is progressing, & looks like a real team, & with the amount we've spent compared to our rivals consolidation is an achievement.

We should definitely have spent more to make it possible to set a higher realistic bar than that, but that's a different argument about FSG & their ambition, or lack of it.

Utd beating us doesn't deny our top 4 chances imo, just our top 2 chance.

I'm very cheerful. Just lost a game, away, against a top four side. It happens.
United mattered far more to me when they were the team winning the league year in year out and we were nowhere.
Right now they are as far from the title as we are, and it means no more to me than beating Spurs or Arsenal or Chelsea. This defeat doesn't define us at all, and I don't care about the rivalry. I care about the points and that alone.

I'm sure if I was from Liverpool I might see things differently, but I grew up with Everton the enemy, United meant nothing to me because they were not in the mix for titles. The 1990s and 2000s obviously they became the focus of everything because it was about the race to 19.
But now that's over. Nice to beat them of course. But it doesn't hurt losing to them as much. It's the 17 point gap to City that hurts me.

I'm sure I'm in a minority but I wouldn't even want another European cup win like in 2005. For all the joy of the moment, it soon felt to me like we were plucky Northampton getting a fluke win against a top team in a cup. And as for all the stage shows, movies, songs and 'poems' about it, yuk. I want us to come back with a great team and win it in style.

If we won the European cup this year it wouldn't be like that. We had 50 odd points that season and Rafa was stifling opponents to get to the final. We'll have 70 odd points this season, be a decent side, and if we do get to the final it'll be because we score loads of goals with a mental fast paced attack, and not because we're holding out for bore draws.

But we can't win finals under this manager so you've just blown your right foot, your left bollock and most of your intestines up in an epic blowing himself to bits scenario. Any 'celebration' will consist of you, well, what remains of you, in a pram, and Mark the impartial Mod in a Celtic shirt, hopping around shouting insults at people like apes in the zoo.
