Called it, didn't back it.

Getting a little overlooked because of Mo. What a player. Him and Mane in any other season are doing... Well they're doing what Owen and Fowler did at their very best.

And neither will leave us. What a side.

What an amazing player!
I just love watching him play - his skills, the way he challenges and wins areal duels although he's not very tall, the way he tracks backs and wins balls just like Suarez did, and off course his goals celebrations, his smiles and white teeth!

in short - Klopp was 100% right when he said Firmino was a bargain!

(Mane has a separate thread)

He hasn't signed a contract extension yet has he?
I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave on a free in two years time.

He’ll sign a new contract shortly I reckon, he loves it here and playing under Klopp.

Big up to those of us who belived in the Flabby Melt early on.

Last night after going the races and then watching liverpool in the pub I got utterly off my cake with my youngest and his bird, and they are such lovely people, but when when they went to bed at about 2, we'd been out all day, I felt someone sit down next to me... and I thought... shit.... this is my dad... but when I turned round it wasn't, it was my uncle Sam, who passed a few years ago and was a brilliant footballer. And he just said, chuckling, you've had a good day today son, great day, go to bed.'

Pick the bones out of that.

Did you go to bed?

Immediately. Not from fear, from respect. There was no weirdness about it. I just went straight upstairs and cuddled into my bird. When I woke up my three dogs were cuddled into us, and the first thing I did was ring my Auntie Tess to tell her Sam had told me to go to bed. She was so happy. Hallucination or not, we cheered 3 dogs and one 86 year old woman up.

I am like.

My uncle Sam played in the armed forces 11 in the same side as Sean Connery, won every tournament they ever entered, and sent each other Christmas cards every year and kept in touch

Glad he told me to go bed last night though. Full bottle of Tattinger for breakfast.

I don't think anyone has said that for a while now. People were saying that when we didn't have Salah and Firmino was averaging 12 goals.

I'm sure you lot were right though and we probably could have got away with not signing one of the most prolific goalscorers we've ever had.

This is what we call Development. Both for team and individuals.

It shows more that there aint no certains and not very often a quick fix. We saw it With Suarez. First year he was a outstanding individual, and Next season we had the team playing to his strengths and hence also lifting his game.

Is Morata and Lukaku better strikers/finishers than Firmino? Probably many will say yes. Shoudl we buy them for that reason. Same People would say no. Cause we have developed the team and Firmino to match each other in a way that doesn't fit them.

Would Firmino score same amount without Salah? Probably. He has taken a step up from last season. If we signed someone else than Salah, and they chipped in less goals it wouldn't take anything away from Firmino.

Exactly

We brought in a winger we expected to (reasonably) get 10-15 goals.

Him comfortably doubling that expectation doesn't mean last season we shouldn't have bought another goal scorer

Look at our bench and find the goals or gamechangers

He’s been fucking boss. And I called it early. Chalk another fucking rare time I’ve been right!
Not the only one mate ... I was on about him for at least a year whilst he was still at Hoffenheim. That chalk must be running down by now ;)

Rare? Only Ox and Firmino then??

Are you whooshing me? I thought Ox was a shite buy. My rare successes have included Salah and Bobby, and er...hang on... erm...

EDIT: oh and Milner. Always wanted him. And Sturridge. If I think of anymore I'll be sure to let everyone know. I know you are all hanging over your keyboards in desperate anticipation.
