Not sure where else to put these snippets:

Liverpool are confident that Dejan Lovren, the centre back, will be fit for the Champions League semi-final first leg with Roma a week today after he was substituted against Bournemouth with a tight muscle in his leg.

Ben Woodburn is now fully fit and is in contention for a first team place against West Brom.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s impressive progress at Liverpool has been rewarded after he triggered a lucrative pay rise.

The 19-year-old right back has underlined his precocious talent with a series of eye-catching performances for Jürgen Klopp’s side in recent weeks.

Alexander-Arnold joined Liverpool at the age of six and has long been considered a potential star, and there were a series of incentives built into the five-year deal that he signed last July.

Appearance-related clauses were linked to pay rises and it is understood that the latest one was reached when he played his 30th senior game in the 2-0 victory over Southampton in February. He now earns about £40,000 a week.

The teenager’s mature displays in nullifying the threat of Manchester City’s Leroy Sané in the Champions League quarter-final success brought widespread acclaim, but Liverpool had already anticipated the player making sizeable strides and so factored in a number of thresholds which will reward continued progress.

I remember reading that incentivised contracts were the way FSG wanted to go across the board which may be one of the problems for Can

I think Can just wants to live and work in Italy, and his mrs wants to go there too. No way Juve will offer a big chunk more than us, do you think?

If I had no loyalty to a club (which he doesnt) or didnt support a club (which he doesnt) and had (vaguely) comparable offers from clubs in England, Italy and Spain..........id fuck off to italy or spain.

Fuck your ‘Best league in the world’ id go where its sunny and the English arent.

But there are Italians in Italy. And lots of them.

Otherwise, you're right.

Rumours that Lovren could miss the rest of the season

That was yesterday mind.. Today he has returned to full training alongside Joe Gomez

Really? He plays whenever he is fit nowadays.

I think that's a consequence of trying to manage Henderson's game time, Lallanas injuries and a lack of other choices. Imo Can knows he might not be getting as many games next season.

Joe Gomez is on the comeback trail.

The 20-year-old defender is close to returning to full training – nearly four weeks after he damaged ankle ligaments playing for England against the Netherlands.

Klopp's squad will reconvene at Melwood today to start their preparations for Saturday's Premier League trip to West Brom.

Gomez, who has worked tirelessly to regain fitness, faces a clearing session with the rehab staff who will determine whether he's ready to rejoin his team-mates.

The game against the Baggies could come too soon for Gomez but he should be available for the visit of Roma.

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has gone to South Africa to step up his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury.

The England international has been having treatment at the Sports Science Institute in Cape Town.

Lallana, who limped off against Crystal Palace last month, is desperate to get back fit before the end of the season and the Reds are leaving no stone unturned in their mission to make that happen.

Lallana could yet be involved if Liverpool reach next month's Champions League final and he's also determined to prove his fitness ahead of June's World Cup finals in Russia.
