I wouldnt be against selling him if there was a stupidly high offer. His stock will never get any higher than this, hes 29 and hes a decent but limited defender. He would do really well in Italy.

He's a much much better centre back for his country than us.

For us he has games like he has in this world cup once very four or five games at best with stupid mistakes coming in the other games. He's been at that ultra boss level every match this tournament.

I think Lovren overall has had a good season, reaching two big finals is an amazing achievement, but when he comes out with that bravado I just think of this thread.

He was very good in the last 6 months of the season alongside VVD.

I still can't bring myself to trust him because we all know that he's capable of self-destructing but when he's in this kinda form, he looks the part.

Lovren can look every inch the world class defender, and has done so many times last season and this World Cup.

But he also resembles a punch-drunk clown on occasion, so that level of trust - and genuine claim to be one of the best defender's in the world - isn't really there.

He's certainly the second-best CB at Liverpool, but I wouldn't be averse to buying another
