Draw is probably a fair result here. Lots of effort not a lot of class.
Salah should have won it for us but surviving a last 10 min Pen against.

Id take that.
Whistle please Refo.

Nah, fair result is a win for them ... they had a penalty (Maybe should have had two) and we didn't test their keeper with anything 'real', while Mahrez had a shot.
Tough tough game, but a point is important ...

As meh as it feels right now, five points from Spurs away, Chelsea away, and City home, is pretty huge.

And lost none of them.
It gets easier for us after the break.
Weve earned it with this run of games.

Im not in the least bit disapointed. We need to find some form though. Thankfully the teams we will plays soon should help that.

And Milner will be back

It's only good if we stop now, take a breath, sort out our problems and then push on. Our attacking game has just not clicked. Salah, god knows that the problem is - he can't seem to judge a basic pass, let alone a shot. We have to work like mad during the break to shake ourselves out of this mental torpor.

Alisson 8
Robertson 5 poor. Skinned a lot
VVD 5 was doing well and then......
Lovren 9 fantastic performance. Made a few world class 1 on 1 last ditch challenges
Gomez 6 a full back he is not

Wijnaldum 8 strung it all together
Henderson 6 average
Keita 6 average
Milner 6 average

Salah 4 wank
Firmino 5 wank
Mane 6 tried at least

Yeh, I remember reading before that Klopp teams come into form around Christmas time, something due to the training or whatnot, it was certainly the case last season, and I really hope that's the case this season, starting with the games after the international break leading into the hard Christmas run.

Totally missed the first half as for some reason I thought kick off was at 5.30.

Rushed to the pub and I can't say that I enjoyed it one bit. Definitely a pen and we got lucky.

Thought Mane was invisible again and wasn't too unhappy with Firmino being hooked. Keita doesn't look ready for the pace of the PL.

Salah wasn't great too but at least he was involved in the game.

I know you're disappointed with Salah, we all want to see more and he's not been his usual level, however he was easily our best attacker today, he ran the defenders, linked up well, the only thing that let him down was his finishing. He was better than Mane today.

* Have to say, Gomez was really good overall again today. Prefer him at CB
* Lovren .. bar two potential brain farts with Aguero & Jesus, he was fucking great in the back.
* VvD - stupid with that mistake, but it happens and we weren't punished.
* Hendo - he got better as the game went on but I feel he's going to struggle to hold his starting spot if he doesn't pick up his play.
* Gini - his fine run of form continue.
* Though I'm worried about the front 3's chemistry etc, you can tell by Salah's play, Bobby's pressing and Mane's overall hustle that it's going to come. It's fucking frustrating that it's not clicked already as we'd have a few more Ws but considering this tough run of game - to have got through them top of the league based on our keeper, defense & hard working midfield is fucking immense ... because this guys WILL click, and once they do, things will be looking great.
* We really miss Ox's work in the midfield - his ability to carry the ball forward etc ... That's what Keita should be bringing. I really would love to see Klopp play Gini/Hendo/Milner more defensive (2 of 'em obviously) with Keita closer to the front 3.
* Lucky to draw ... very lucky ... but fuck it, I'll take it ...

* Fernandino is a fucking cunt. That was a 2nd yellow (or red) on Mane late in the game.
* To repeat what I said in the match thread, Silva must be one of the whiniest twats out there. Great players mind you.
* Sterling should ask not to play at Anfield - he's owned by the crowd. Pity we didn't have FLanno to hammer him one more time.

His teams have always started slowly apparently, & certainly with us they have.

That's why I'm not overly worried. We're staying in the fight despite not hitting our heights.

To coin a clichéd phrase, it's a marathon not a sprint.

Why are people just thinking we're gonna find form?

For the same reason the team clicked offensively last year ... we've clicked defensively already, which is why we can grind out tough results ... the other part will come, and if not, we'll still be ok as we only need 1-2 goals to win most games imo.

Totally agree. He’s trying his fucking heart out but nothings coming off. He needs one to go in off his arse.

Mane was the worst player on the pitch today.

Lovren and Gini were standouts.
