Good luck to Mr James Milner who should hopefully make his 500th premier league appearance today.

What a fucking brilliant signing he has been. A brilliant 4 years hes had for us and I genuinely hope he stays fit and stays with us for a few more seasons.

Everything is wrong with modern football, but Milner is a throwback to a happier time and I have loved every single thing about him since he has been here.

Only a pity the club/managers and most of us fans didnt recognise it years ago.

Well played James. I think its safe to go ahead and give him a 7 or an 8 in todays match now. When is he EVER less than that.

I love him. He's the rejoinder to Klopp's annoyance at the Burnley tackling, as he's the one player in our team who engages in a bit of gentle hobbling. The thing is, refs seem to like him, so he is rarely punished for it (respectful + decent chap = can get away with murder). I love his whole taking possession of the Boring James Milner identity. He's an absolute star, who just never lets us down. His highest number of assists in the CL last year shows that he isn't just a highly competent midfielder, he's a creator too.

I hope he retires here

Would love it to happen but by all accounts he wants to finish his career at Leeds. He never wanted to leave and they sold him when they were in financial meltdown. If they come back up this season I reckon he will go back and captain them.

He is absolutely brilliant in every way. Amazing signing and has given more than I would have expected at this point in his career.

A bit presumptions but would have won the league in 2009 and 2014 if he was in the side. Should have brought him from Leeds.

He should have been signed him from Newcastle, but I was delighted when we finally got him. He's been a brilliant signing and I think he'll still be playing Premier League football in 4-5 years.

I've always liked Milner, always seemed to be a Liverpool sort of player, even before he was one. One of our best signings in recent years.
