Updated spam management and Implemented country spam block amongst a few other things..

Basically anyone from known spamming countries will now be unable to register..

The biggies at the moment are Pakistan, Bangledesh and the Korean republic..

Registration to the site via a proxy is also blocked... system is in place that detects if the user is behind any type proxy or not..

However if you work for a company that uses a proxy, this will be blocked to registrations also. As an example... I am currently working for the NHS, which obviously uses a proxy.. I am unable to register as a new user and met with the message 'registrations are currently unavailable'. Please register via an alternative means.. (when you get back home or from your phone)

The new security measures should stop the nuisance human spammers we have had trying to register and post on the site over the last few weeks..

Registrations now active via tapatalk as the developers have finally moved inline with the xenforo forum registration criteria.. and any bots registering via tapatalk, is pretty much a non starter..

We have seen a increase in registrations since this was enabled last weekend..

Now we just need to get the newbies to post...

Good stuff.

We may need a 'lurkers show yourselves' type post. Where they can post safe in the knowledge that their ridiculing will be confined to one thread.
