For me McLoughlin looks closest to first team football.
solid defender, reads the game well and drives forward with purpose.
He needs to make the break hrough soon though i think

Yeah otherwise we might go out and sign another RB the same age.

Ojo, Wilson, and Rossiter are all special talents - I think Ojo is the most precocious player I've seen at this level, even more so than Sterling. They should all make it from here, really.

McLaughlin is very good too but he's lost a lot of time with his injuries. He needs to follow Joao's lead and go and rip it up on loan somewhere, because his versatility means he's always going to have a chance of breaking into the first team squad.

Canos is another who looks to have kicked on again, he's got every chance as well.

Any strikers in the yoofs who can be our 4th striker? I do agree with @gkmacca we need a fourth striker, if only to play or be on the bench during league cup games.

Admittedly I really dont know much about McLaughlin but it is a bit odd that he hasn't even featured in any preseason or cup matches. I really want him to succeed at LFC.

#LFCU18s team v Derby: Firth, Travis (RB), Hart, Brewitt, Roberts, Ejaria, Canos, Phillips, Sinclair, Marsh, Kent
#LFCU18s subs v Derby: Polgar, Jackson, Nicholas, Whelan, Maxwell

Interesting to see Canos in the team; he played a few minutes for the U21s just 16 hours ago or so.

Never seen Ojo to be honest.

What kind of player is he?

Plays on the wing or upfront. The typical pacy winger with dribbling skills. Quite big as well. Problem is:

Basically an attacking midfielder with amazing strength, pace and running power. He's just turned 17 and last night he was blazing past the Utd defence more or less at will.

I suppose if you don't mind really crude comparisons he's a bit like a cross between John Barnes and Gareth Bale.

I'd imagine there'll be a compilation of his performance last night sooner or later. This is him in the Ajax youht tournament earlier this summer

In terms of how he makes me feel when watching him, it's like watching Luis Garcia without goals at this point. Good skills, tricky, but can be frustrating at times with his decision-making. But still 17, and we saw how Sterling's decision-making jumped in one season.

Who would you compare him to?

Ignore Modo, he's being a bellend.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a young winger who isn't accused of 'not having a brain'. People are saying it about Ibe now, they even fucking said it about Sterling.

It seems to be one of those stock criticisms twats use if they want to try to look knowledgeable.

So he's either Heskey, Cisse, John Barnes, or Gareth Bale?

Quite the fucking spread there lads.

Seriously if you compare Ojo to Barnes you've actually never seen Barnes play.
OMFG.

Cheers.

Watched the vid, and he reminds me of Sturridge.

I saw Ojo at the milk cup last year. He was very poor and looked to be on of those athletic players that clubs sign in the hope they will become good footballs. He got dropped for the next 2 games.

I only saw 45 minutes of the match last night and he seemed to have improved considerably. He actually used his power and pace to drive forward as opposed to standing in the middle of the pitch and watching NI county players walk all over him.

Your verdict then...

A) Barnes/Bale

B) Sturridge

C) Heskey/Cissé

Shouldn't we be sending our defenders to Brighton?
I wish we could send Coates and McLaughlin there.
