That according to talksport & twitter he has to save his job..

If it's true its almost worth hoping we lose just for it to happen..

UTD is a must win game for him.. Personally I wouldn't want to lose that one..

I don't like this 3 games type of talk. 3 games proves nothing. If they have a replacement who they think could do a better job lined up, bin him off if they don't keep him until someone of real quality becomes available.

Yep.

Ultimately this 'three game' talk is bullshit, though. No-one in the real world runs a business that way.

You're a bit shit and we're seriously thinking of binning you. But do three weeks worth of good work all will be swell. We'll just forget all that's gone before.

Yeah, sacking him 7 games into the season would be a glorious decision, for him to be replaced by who at this stage of the season? Fat sam?
Twitter rubbish.

The twitterati are now saying he has one half left ... if the 1st half against Manure isn't like the first half against Arenal - this time with at least a goal - he'll be fired at half time and replaced by a yet unknown foreigner with a German accent.

Normally I'd agree that this kind of "three games to save his job" stuff is daft, but if it did happen to be true I could see the owners' point of view this time. Rodgers' target last season was a CL place and he missed it. He was then backed heavily in the summer and yet, just three games into the season, we come up with that disastrous showing against W.Ham. I wouldn't altogether blame the owners for deciding it's sh!t or bust time for him now.

Is anyone not really giving a shit already? Should I feel bad? Maybe I'm just getting old.

Nah, footy is just shit. It's a corporate run entertainment industry aimed at keeping the big clubs big, whilst their owners & the leagues line their pockets.

As such it's fast lost its appeal in many ways. Sad, cos despite all that, the actual sport is probably at its pinnacle in many ways.

We shouldn't even be in this position. Weak from FSG, should have got rid in the summer.

So true.

It feels like watching WWE sometimes.

If they were going to get rid they should of done so at the end of last season. They should now stick with the decision they made just a few weeks ago and give him a fair chance to prove whether he's the right man for the job or not.

Which is what will happen

Time limited ultimatums are a nonsense. The next three league games are Utd away, Norwich and Villa at home. So say we lose 1-0 to United and then batter Norwich and Villa...is that enough? Or two draws and a win...enough? How about beat Utd away, beat Norwich but lose to Villa...does he go then? This is pure TalkSport-fodder.

I'd really like you to elaborate on that if you don't mind, really.
I've supported lfc since roughly 99' and I support my local team and I love the game.
Yes, players move and leave and ticket prices are rising, but what exactly has changed since the old days? How is the game shit now compared to before?
I'd love to hear you thoughts about this

Everything is over analysed. Not just on the pitch, but off it too. I can happily sit & listen to neville & Carra talk tactics for hours, but sky & even the BBC would rather force feed us 'news' about what manager said what, what a player has done on a night out, ex players acting like amateur psychologists analysis twitter feeds.

Add into that sky high (pun intended) ticket prices meaning kids & normal working class people can't afford to go the game, an ever increasing gap between the CL teams & the rest meaning true competition for the top spot is limited to a select number of the league, sponsorship of players toilets, contact lenses & lint rollers.

I could go on, but I can't be arsed tbh, I've probably missed some big points.

Sky Sports News now regularly feature tweets saying how great Sky Sports News is. The entire sport in England is eating itself.

So to clarify you would like us to lose 3 games so the manager is sacked rather than the manger win three games and sort his shit out.

Tragic.

It's like catholics persecuting agnostics on here, but anything other than Rodgers dramatically turning things round is going to set us back years and cost us a fortune. But it's indubitably highly unlikely.

The lack of parody in football is shocking. PL - 2, maybe 3 teams can win it; La Liga - 2 teams can win, 1 other has an outside shot every decade; Serie a - 1/2 teams can win?; Bundesliga - 1 team can win; La Liga - 1 team can win. Its truly shocking.

Agree re. Sky and tv in general, but isn't that the people's fault? at the end of the day Sky or whoever only exist for rating and money, and that is achieved by giving the audience what they want to see.

The ticket prices is shit but that too is totally our fault, if people would stop agreeing to pay such sums, the price would be lower.

Maybe it's not the game that's gone to shit, rather our generation.

Nah, it's not a generation thing; it's a system thing. Football is just reflecting society and society is driven by capitalism and capitalism is driven by greed.

Pretty much what you said yourself.
