Arrogance amongst our fanbase

"Reality check needed" from the guy who doesn't think Eden Hazard is any good.

Do one Gary.

I didn't say Hazard wasn't any good. He's a class act on his day, but I still don't think he's all that when it comes to the big, big games.

I think some were arrogant but others expected Rodgers to react to the Swansea performance. Many of us expected Utd to out number us in midfield and probably take advantage of our weakness in wide areas and that Rodgers should counter this. He didn't. He went into the game as he has done for many other important fixtures and seemingly left it unchanged, convinced that his system would win through.

Allen can be very good but he's the wrong player to sit deepest against Utd. Moreno was diabolical and Mata took full advantage of this field day and reaped the rewards. Sterling can play wide right but should have been one of the forward three. We've stuttered through recent games and this shouldn't be the prep for a Utd match.

Rodgers record against the top sides is poor and we're finally in the latter stages of a cup competition, although the draw have been fairly kind to us

There is some arrogance amongst the fanbase but less than some other clubs and i think it's only reasonable to expect Premier League managers and players to put in more effort than was visible against Utd. They weren't that good. Had we turned up after sufficient preparation then we should have seen them off.
