That brings up a more general point (as the Bishop said to the nun). Many players today seem to think it's almost a cause for shame if they don't hit either side of the ball rather than through it, even when the best, or sometimes only, option is to just hit straight through it. Take Markovic (I think it was him) last night - there was no way in that position and speed he needed to try to bend the ball into the net but still he did it and almost sliced off the corner flag as a consequence. It's become a strange technical obsession.

Yep. Just keep your foot low and lace it. Markovic could have taken a touch and dribbled it into the net yesterday he had that much time. Infuriating

Footballers in over thinking shocker.

I never thought I would see the day.

The latter, Ruairi. I'd be far too polite for the ******* former. ;)
I can't for the life of me see what you've done. I think spending an entire day with a toddler brings you down to their level, both physically and mentally.

The edit didn't work properly.

I thought I was going mad for a bit.
