Is that a superhero or a new washing powder? Do we need both ? stay tuned for your next trilling installment of LFC is Dallas . Hic !

But in all seriousness. He must go nothing about him rings true. he doesn't inseminate success.

That picture is really him . It's not in your fantasies. He's really beckoning you. In that pale yellow with ivory sequins thang! Go for that ride on his Harlely quin.

To be fair to the bloke - which is hard for me to do, seeing as I regard him as an immensely irritating little tit - he's been uncharacteristically impressive since the summer. He went out and clinched the Firmino deal with real speed and professionalism; he pushed through the Benteke deal when it could easily have dragged on and on; and he's sorted out Klopp's contract negotiations in a couple of days. Obviously it's not just him, but no big deals - which he normally gets the flak for - happen just through one person's initiative and effort, so the bloke actually deserves some praise for recent actions. Having said that, we really need a much better operator in his role - you need, apart from other skills, political and diplomatic talents which he signally lacks - and he should be limited to commercial matters.

Is this change of form because he knows his arse is hanging out though. And I very much suspect that the Klopp deal
1. Has been a long time in the oven
2. Was probably down to Klopp's malleability and professionalism.
If he managed the Firmino & Benteke deals so well who or what went wrong before. Or has he just had a Crockett up the isarse paswasghe

I cannot believe the farces of the past eighteen months have all been down to Rodgers.

I'm not sure what's happened. You're probably right that he's sensed the pressure to up his game. A lot of the stuff that is really his strength is now happening down in London, so that probably makes him feel a bit insecure, as does Mike Gordon's chilly imperiousness around Anfield. But then old Ian's still been happy living the lush life, probably more so than ever, so he's not exactly been noticeably more focussed in the workplace. He's just done the big things quite a bit better recently.

Ayre seemed to get better lately simply because those negotiations were not difficult. Firmino wanted to come here and we were easily the highest bidder, we met the release clause for Benteke, so no negotiations with his club were needed and Klopp has made up his mind to come here long ago, it seems. I would still not trust Ayre to get us a player for whom we face real competition or work through 3rd party ownership complications for instance.

Don't have to. We have Klopp now. If a player doesn't want to play for Herr Klopp then fuck him.

I read an opinion that now Rodgers has gone the players have no-one left to shelter behind but that begs the question who brought these players to the club? So Ayre and the transfer committee are in the firing line. If Ayre had done his job and got Sanchez as part of the Suarez deal we wouldn't be in the mess we're in now.

What if he does. But gets the rimmaround from Ayre & co or whosoever, we could still lose good men if the top four are in the frame. You may forget how ruthless they can be. We need the best negotiator possible.

I would much prefer Klopp took the role of first contact, than Ayre.
