I know exactly what he's getting at. No matter how badly he phrases it. However whether you consider it a downgrade simply because a player is cheaper depends on how you view the players concerned, how they are viewed internationally is not the only arbiter of quality and we can point to e.g. Coutinho as a perfect example. Many on here don't feel Davies is a worse option that Moreno anyway.

That said, four times he's evaded the questions put to him, three times by me and once from Glen. So he blathers on about others not answering the questions he poses yet totally ignores the question which exposes his position on the club having 'no ambition', that being the possibility that we have already offered well over our valuation of Moreno so why on earth should we offer still more.

I didn't say I didn't want them to attack, just that I want them to be able to defend first and foremost. Johnson being a case in point.
 
There's very very few full backs that are competent at both, and we've only been linked to one-cole. All the others can do one or the other. I think of the issue with full backs who can't defend would be mitigated if we had a DM who could help out I.e not gerrard.
 
I'm gonna do a seperate thread on full-backs. This whole issue has been doing my head in for ages. It's gonna be a rant of sorts.
