We often talk about how much money we waste. But given what we now know about the market and fees what represents our biggest bargain in recent years?
Suarez 30m?
Coutinho 8m?
Salah 30m?
Robertson 8m?
Trent Alexander Arnold 0m?
Sterling 1m?
Milner free?

Any other?

It's hard to pick one as best bit of business. In hindsight it could well be selling Coutinho for 140m, but it depends on how we replace. So far we have done very well.

We have been good in the transfer window stuff in the last two years.

A succession of good decisions have now left us once again with that feeling of only lacking a couple of missing pieces to complete the puzzle. We had this feeling before, after that season we finished second under Rafa, with the best midfield in the world and Torres terrorizing defenders. We had everything except for pace out wide. Then it all fell apart...

We are there again, I think.

As a capitalist, I can't really look past Coutinho. Amazing business.
Even more so, considering he has been dropped by Barca for the 'sake of the team' for being mostly shit..

The one trick pony did score yesterday though... His usual trademark goal...

That'll do his fragile confidence the world of good before the world cup. Let us pray he still makes the squad, but in a crucial game he fucks up with an unforgivable mistake and gets them knocked out.

I see you edited that.
He did play yesterday scored and assisted.
I think laughing at him is a mistake.
He's a terrific player and will make Barca better AND win minimum one more trophy than anyone in our team this year.

Yeah but we’ll win the all important one.

Anyway, agree. He’s ready made for Barca unfortunately. He’ll be an integral part of their team for the next 5 years.

He's still a one trick pony and a cunt, regardless

Nah, he’s a fantastic player. I’m past the hating, no point in it.
Enjoyed watching him play for us and he got us a insane fee. End off

Robertson. We were missing a left back for the LONGEST time. From Flanagan to Moreno to Milner, every single one was make shift or not good enough. And we all know it is not easy to find a reliable left back - Citeh, Manure, Chelsea all spent big on theirs and Ashley Young is still playing LB for Manure.

Robertson seems to have nailed down the position for the long term. Fully committed, full of energy, doesn't have brain farts and bombs up and down like a duracle bunny.

All that for 8m. The fact that he wasn't anywhere near a big name makes it even better. Perfectly suits our underdog style.

Countinho seems to have been the best business. I mean if we still manage to come second and then we've got a shitload to spend in the summer because he went for stupid money and it didn't even make any difference to our form, in fact we got better, then it'll be looked at as great business. But if we get a couple of injuries next weekend to any of the usual suspects I'll be eating those words.

Andy Robertson was a total fucking snip, he's pure class and cost a fraction of Kyle walker et al

Dalglish. Though we paid a top fee at the time, so Suarez, Salah and Barnes maybe are better business - with Barnes at less than a million the best of the lot.

Current market, 8M for Robertson is a steal.

The 8M we paid for Lucarse is probably 60M now.

60 mil for the Havant and Waterlooville goal and some burnt sausages. Laugh or cry, the choice is yours.

Suarez, paid £23m for him and £35m for Carroll at the same time.

I still think Suarez is the best player I’ve ever seen play for Liverpool.
