4 Year Deal..

If he can show a glimpse of what he was capable of a few years back.. that could be a great signing for them..

He was superb when he broke onto the scene, but he a tad not so great now.. what went wrong ?

He just could never replicate his fishing past a certain level - he's not a bad finisher but he just isn't great, and has very few physical attributes (not that fast, obviously a midget etc) that can give him an advantage. Watch him form a killer combo with Crouch -

I just read a couple articles about where it all went wrong for Bojan and they're a little weird. Was he really being labelled as the next Messi back when he broke through? I remember hearing that he broke Messi's scoring record and that he was a phenomenal finisher but really there is no comparison to be made other than they came from the same academy.

In one Guardian article it says:

"Krkic had all the attributes we have come to expect from a La Masia graduate. He was skillful, he had wonderful balance, he was quick and he was a better dribbler than a baby with teething problems."

Now that's not really true. He was never particularly quick and I recall him struggling to get past defenders at times because he didn't have the strength or acceleration. He was never a dazzling dribbler either - nowhere near even.

It is a shame that it hasn't happened for him though. I always thought he'd at least go on to score goals at a club where so much wasn't expected of him and players in general.

His talent was never doubted ... but Bojan apparently he suffers from nervous breakdowns & anxiety. Can't recall where I read it but apparently he missed his Spain debut because he suffered a big anxiety attack.

I read that he had issues in not being able to cope with the pressure he felt to perform week in week out once he began to make his name at Barca.

A shame.

Seems like a good lad on & off the pitch.

That is a shame. I know someone who has the same thing and it's a huge problem for him.

Stoke is a fairly grimy post industrial landscape which is bordered by some lovely countryside which is where most affluent people live. Stoke's ground is positioned on a high point outside the city and is, to say the least, windswept. You need a jumper in August there! It's about as different from Barcelona as it is imaginable considering they are both European cities.

Don't know much about this Bojan fella but if he's looking for culture, either in life or football, then I'd suggest his Sat Nav wants replacing.

On the other hand, if he likes chips, fat slags and fighting he's well in.
