Borini

And it could be a gentlemen agreement between managers to let Borini play so Sunderland can access his fitness level. It's a friendly, risks were assessed and accepted by the manager. Looks like nothing happened to him so the risk was acceptable.

Seriously?? You think he may have been eating double big mac with fires over the six weeks or so since they last saw him???

What is it that appeals about Balotelli?

He seems to fool so many people into thinking he's some sort of superstar. Ricky Lambert has a better scoring record and is infinitely more proven in this league. Never mind the fact that Balotelli is a massive twat with the mental age of a small child. If we're so desperate to get another twat to replace our outgoing one, let's at least get one who scores shitloads of goals and doesn't need a babysitter.

Talent.

He may never fulfil it, but if you're the one to finally help him reach his potential you've got one of the best forwards in the world on your books. I think he's worth the risk if the fee is that low.

I think he's worth the risk to a team without a lot to lose. We unfortunately do both in terms of money and time.

He's been around for six years and hasn't quite found himself at three big clubs (the most recent being the club he supposedly supports and always wanted to play for) so what's going to change at the next one? What is it going to take for Balotelli to fulfill his potential?

Not much of a financial risk, but big risk of causing trouble in the dressing room. Think one of the secrets of our success last season, but a close dressing room. He seems to pout wherever he goes and causes trouble with other players. No bargain that!

It would be up to Rodgers to decide whether or not he could get the best out of him I suppose, and you very well could be right in that he might be one of those players that never figures it out.

Saw him live at the World Cup and is one lazy grumpy selfish piece of shit. No thanks!!

This is what I'm getting at, though. Where is this outrageous talent? I've not seen much evidence of it. He's 23, and people are still talking about his untapped potential. I think when you wait this long and the player seemingly hasn't made any progress, you have to wonder how much of it is talent and how much of it is just hype.

yeah i've never seen this alleged talent either. Pretty slow, lazy, got a good shot on him. He doesn't have a good football brain and causes trouble on and off the pitch. I'd rather buy Bony and i don't even want Bony.

that is him third from the bottom , behind lallana and reina, isn't it ? deal can't be that close if he's on the flight to the U.S .

fuck's sake. wish b-rodge would tell him to fuck off.

hey i know it's not important to you and shit, but just so you know....he scored the winner against chelsea last season to put us in prime position to win our first ever title...and everyone on here were lavishing their praises.

like i said...all these are not important no more cos we didn't win. but just saying....if we had won....

borini's a good lad, wants to play for us bad, okay things didn't work out for him and us but come on...give him some respect.

I don't think he's a superstar at all, but he has a lot of attributes to be a world-class striker and I think he's the sort of player Rodgers could work wonders with.

He's been scoring 1 in every 2 games in the last few seasons in a poor AC Milan side, and £14M represents decent value at a time when good strikers are proving hard to come by.

And strictly from a selfish point of view, the prospect of seeing him doing mad shit around Liverpool appeals to me.

He's been at Milan for one season. Prior to that he was at Man City, where he was troublesome and inconsistent. The same as he has been for his entire career thus far.

And as I've said, footballers are mostly bellends, but I don't enjoy learning about our players acting like children. I don't understand why that appeals to you either.

Well he left in January so caught the second half of a season in Italy, and I think it's because you're more serious than me.

Exactly.

A walking time bomb. Doesn't it seem alarming to anyone that EVERYWHERE he goes, he disrupts things ?

They said he was unstable cos he was abroad at a young age and far from his family. Well he was in Italy last season wasn't he ? With his loved ones, and still managed to upset a few people.

NO THANKS.

The fact that Poyet oozed pure desperation last night talking about Borini and then Borini getting on a plane to the other side of the world tells everyone that Borini doesn't want this.

Why the fuck would he though? Purely he could get a better gig back in Italy if he really wanted to leave?
