So looks like we will be without Coutinho and I can't imagine Lallana or Studge would be chose to start the game.

I think we will see:

---------------Karius--------------
Clyne--Matip--Lovren--Milner
---------------Hendo--------------
----------Can------Wijnaldum---
Mane-------Firmino----Origi----

Should still be enough if we get fired up Mane and Origi is bright from the start. I worry a bit about Can getting an advanced role, he makes space for himself well but doesnt always use it effectively. However i'd expect Adam and/or Studge to be used as subs in this.

Prefer that - we need Origi to be more central.

Lallana back in full training apparently.
I would expect him to feature from the bench at least.
Firmino back in full training too so hopefully he is ready to start

Lallana's only been out 3 weeks or so. I'll think he'll be straight back in if training since today.

Firmino usually plays on the left when Coutinho goes off. Origi will be central as always. Hope Lallana is fit at least for the bench, we need him.

Did Matip also pick up a knock? Read somewhere that he missed training yesterday.

We need to win all of these matches we are 'expected' to win. It's going to be a very close run this season and winning these takes the pressure off the lads.

Coutinho and Sturridge confirmed out, Lallana touch and go to start, Mane struggling for form. I've a bad feeling about this.

Ojo has participated in the full training today – good to see. Might see him on the bench on Sunday. Joe Gomez also trained with the first team.

So we don't play Studge when he finally gets a run of fitness and then when we need him he's f*cked again.

Jesus Christ.

It's it beautiful that Utd's fixtures aren't on there as they are not anywhere near the title race :)

Isn't this kind of the right time for our players to be injured (if they must be injured at all)? This is (in theory) a winnable stretch of games - even with a diminished team selection available - and the timing of the games isn't particularly taxing.

I think we have a very demanding style of play, and everytime we have to make significant changes it takes a week or two before Things start to gel again. It doesnt mean we will not scrap a win, but I am not confident at all for this game. However I do expect a major meltdown here if it ends up With a Draw or even worse!! Maybe even if we only scrap a 2-0 win as well.....

I'd take as many scrappy wins as I can get.

Three points is three points.

Agree about changes to the team having a pretty big impact though, I worry now Phil is out & Lallana may be playing his first game back we'll struggle to make possession count like in recent games.

If that's the case then the win is the most important thing, fuck playing style or clinical finishing, kick, & fight our way to the win if we must.

As I agree we need to do whatever it takes to win, I understand that Klopp is very much spending the time on the training ground to finetune what how we should play in the games. Probably more than most other managers. Everytime we outplay opposition it is due to Extreme hard work on the training ground combined With the sheer excellence of some of the players. I Guess this means that when one or two or, even worse, Three Central players out means that several others have to fill these Places With a slightly different style. I mean Wijnaldum and Origi taking Phil and Lallanas place would be different than Sturridge taking the fron spot. And this takes some time to work on, where keeping the usual 11 would mean we could only focus on Bournemouth.

I am not sure we are able to forget style and start kicking our way in.

This game Sturridge is actually a very crucial player to loose as he has been playing well when coming on. Putting Origi in is probably a bigger change to the starting line up than Sturridge who has been more involved lately.

I think Bournemouth on their day could be a very difficult team to play against, especially at their home ground.
From what I've seen they have a certain style of play, basically possession football.
What impresses me with Howe is that he maintains that style despite the opposition.
Against Arsenal they had 48% possession and 3 shots on target against Arsenal's 4 shots on target.

Players to look out for:
They have a decent fullback in Adam Smith who can also operate on the wing and two dangerous players further up the field in Stanislas and Wilson.

Prediction: 0-3 with Firmino, Matip and Mané scoring.

Klopp offers fitness updates

“Yes there will be a few changes.
“I am happy about each player back in training. Adam is training, yesterday was the first session. We need to see how he reacts. Yesterday was quite intense.
“Roberto (Firmino) trained yesterday. Still a little bit of pain but not that serious.”

Klopp on Ojo: "Ojo needs a lot of training. Not injured any more but he needs training, training, training and games for 2nd team.

Klopp says Sturridge won't be involved this weekend

Does Ben Woodburn stay in the squad?

No idea...
