Brewster's Millions

That will depend upon whether the hesitation was to do with a lack of opportunities and not to extort more money out of the club.

I can see him and woodburn flying in preseason. They have the potential to be supporting cast to the 3 headliners we have up front.

Really happy he's staying, would like to see him become fifth choice in our front three behind a new signing next season.

Still don’t see much in Woodburn. Hope I’m very wrong of course.
He is very young.

This team is also a very difficult one for forwards or attacking midfielders to break into to, not only because we have top forwards, but because we play such a pacey attack that relies on ultra quick thinking & passing with the forwards needing to be able to make runs in anticipation of a pass much earlier than you see from almost any other side. That only comes with the experience of playing alongside them.

As such I'll happily withold judgement on him for some time yet.

Not necessarily. Slag him off all you want (I do) but if we had Sterling in our squad last season we would have finished higher in the table & would have had a more dangerous option to use come the CL final.

Fantastic news. I really wasn't expecting that, but I'm so glad he's seen reason. He's going to be tremendous for us.

I've a good feeling this kid will be one to watch as well.

Don't think Woodburn will make it though.

Concur. But Brewster is still a long way off from where Sterling was when that cunt started to listen to his bitch agent.

We've seen the one in two out policy of FSG. There's no way we'd have bought Salah.

This is true.

Although I actually expect (perhaps naively) that policy to shift a bit this summer as we've cleared out almost all the dross clogging up the wage bill.

I was thinking about how many we need to sell / loan to have a reasonable sized squad by the end of the transfer window. I reckon we still need to move 8-9 players, provided we bring in the expected 3-4 new players.

I saw quite a bit of Brewster at the u17 World Cup in India, and he's as natural and instinctive a goalscorer I've seen.

He's an unbelievable talent, and someone I'm convinced will make it. I hope that injury hasn't fucked him up long term though.

Ready for a supporting role this current season do you reckon? He has to be an improvement on Solanke surely.

Given that he's been out for a while with an ACL injury, I really can't say. Let's hope he gets some appearances off the bench.
