Didn't Nikeser do that back in the day? Or was it Jamo?

I remember someone creating a seperate account just for the purposes of going back and liking the original post. Fucking ridic.

Nikeser and his question mark alter-ego, wasn't?

Would you look at the head on the gypsy cunt? How can anyone advocate spending 30M odd on that head? We'd lose all sponsorship deals we had, Sky would refuse to show our games, there'd be no kids left in the stadium. Look at the hair, the fucking straggling knacker head. Teethal Weapon too the cunt, braces hanging off him like he's 12. And that gormless fucking gimpish gob on him - look at that picture, he looks like he's just at that exact moment followed through on a shart. Get fucked if we spend money on that travesty.

Caravan-i.
Ha a like for the Caravani pun but as for your point of him being to ugly to sign (granted its firmly tongue in cheek) I give you Dirk (I could have been in the Goonies) Kuyt.

I think we are going in another direction than signing the likes of Cavani at the moment. I personally haven't seen him deliver at the level making him worth the 30-40 m pounds, and with his age he has no sell on value. it looks like we are going to make the stars of tomorrow rather than paying for yesterdays fun, and that is a the best approach if we are to compete with the likes of City, Chelski etc. We have to have hungry younger players that we can shape into fitting our style, rather than a Cavani that we have to change our style to suit him (not that he is demanding, but you dont buy such a guy to that price and try to change him. Then you buy him based on what he has to offer!). lavezzi is neoither my cup of tea. I just don't think he is good enough. Shaquiri would suit our direction ten times what Cavani would suit it.

I think he looks a bit like Beardsley in that photo (in an ugly lopsided way), and he didnt do us any harm

Beardsley looked like a massive Joey.

Can anyone name an uglier player than Beardsley who was a better footballer?

There can't be many.

Ryan just picked a bad picture. Here's Edison looking like an extra from Point Break.

I don't get it. With the sort of money he earns, at least get those invisible-looking braces. I'd love to fix my teeth with Invisalign if only I had the money.

So yeah, for that sole reason, I don't want him.

Given that there seem to be fuck all plausible alternative options for us, if we can get him in for 1 year then we should do it. Hopefully someone will have emerged next year for us to buy and Origi will be here. Until then, I think we are pretty desperate as it stands.

Cavani is paid 10 million euros a year.

There was talk of him asking for 300,000 quid a week from Man Utd.

We need to so one of those deals we seem to be great at doing where the parent club pays all the wages for them to play for someone else

Agent has come out and said we are targeting him

The agent of Edinson Cavani claims Liverpool have made an approach to sign him.

Cavani’s representative Claudi Anelluci says that the Reds and Arsenal have shown interest in the Uruguayan striker.

Liverpool are keen to bolster their attacking options before the start of the new Premier League season next weekend following the departure of Luis Suarez.

Manager Brendan Rodgers looked to have tied up a deal for Queens Park Rangers forward Loic Remy but his move fell through at the last minute following complications with his medical.

Now, it is claimed he has turned his attention to Paris Saint Germain’s Cavani.

There has been much interest in the player during the last six months,” Anelluci is quoted in El Telegrafo.

“I can confirm that Cavani heard proposals from Liverpool and Arsenal.

“(Cavani) Already said he would love to play in England, but has not yet made a final decision.

“He is not interested in money and fame; just want to be happy playing football.”

I'd love Cavani.
He's probably the only world class striker that we have a glimmer of signing.
Looking at Lambert in the pre season is pretty depressing.
He's like a man that got to play from the make a wish foundation.

What is wrong with everyone regarding Lambert? He's proven he is a top quality goal scorer. Is it because he only cost £4M? He is a die-hard red who would have crawled over broken glass to sign for us. I'd rather have him any day than some Jonny foreigner whose wife wants to live in London. I suggest people actually go back and watch how much quality he showed last season. His goals and assists were excellent.

I always said I had no problem with Lambert signing as our third striker.
He's no more than a third striker though.

If hes' telling the truth about the first point then why did he go to PSG? If he's telling the truth about two point then he should join Arsenal. If he's telling the truth about the last point he should join us.
There's no chance he's coming to us.

True. But sometimes third strikers have to play as first strikers thanks to injuries, and us waiting to sign a superstar on Aug 31st ;)

Modo mentioned Cavani a while back and said that he would be a great replacement.

Cavani would probably cost about 10M more than what he's worth since PSG spent so much money on him.

Unless they really really want to get Di Maria in and would impulse sell Cavani for cheap enough to make the numbers work out.

It's a done deal then. Luis will have given us A+
