Denmark international Andreas Christensen. The
19-year-old defender joins
from Chelsea on a two-year loan deal until June 2017. He
will wear the no.3 shirt.
Christensen, who
made three competitive appearances for the London club last season, completed his medical today at also took part in the DFL media day at BORUSSIA-PARK
. “Andreas Christensen is a promising talent and can cover a variety of positions in defence. We’re delighted that we’ve been able to bring him in on loan from Chelsea,” said Borussia sporting director Max Eberl.
Andreas Christensen
began his career at Brøndby IF and moved to current Premier League champions Chelsea at just 16 years old. He made three competitive appearances for the Blues last season. However,
most of his playing time has come with their U21s,
who he has made 43 league appearances for over the last three years. He has also
played 17 games in the UEFA Youth League with Chelsea’s U19s.
The
6’2’’ defender has
represented his country at every youth level, including 19 appearances for Denmark’s U21s. He was
handed his senior debut in mid-June this year, featuring in matches against both Montenegro and Serbia. He then
returned to the U21 setup to play at this summer’s European Championship in the Czech Republic. He started all four of his side’s games, regularly featuring alongside Werder Bremen’s Jannik Vestergaard in central defence.[/article]

former England Under-21 midfield player Josh McEachran
from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee.
The
22-year-old has also
represented his country at Under-20, Under-19, Under-17 and Under-16 level and
helped England win the European Under-17 Championships in 2010, earning a place in the team of the tournament.
He was also in the England Under-21 squad at the 2013 European Championships.
Josh has
been with Chelsea since he was seven-years-old and progressed through to the First Team at the West London side.
He has
played 22 games for The Blues with 11 of them in the Premier League and six in the Champions League.
He has also had
loan spells at Swansea City, where he played four more Premier League games, and
in the Championship with Middlesbrough, Watford and Wigan Athletic.
Josh
spent last season at Vitesse Arnhem and played 21 matches in the Dutch top flight, helping them finish fifth in the table and earn a place in the Europa League.

Josh has signed a
four-year contract after passing a medical.
He will fly out to Portugal today, Friday 10 July, to link up with the Brentford squad a on a pre-season training camp.
