22 million fee agreed.

This guy was the reason they finished 4th last year.

Good job Rafa! :)

I bloody well hope we take advantage of this.

Not seen it posted anywhere reliable yet, just twitter, but it seems inevitable. Good news, their current keeper looks very ropey, and their defence is pretty shit too.

@DTguardian: To clarify, the fee - 40m Euros (£29.3m), I've heard, but they are saying cheaper in Spain - includes Navas. It isn't Navas on top. #mufc

BREAKING NEWS: Sky Sources - Real Madrid sign David De Gea from Manchester United. Keylor Navas IS part of the deal

@DuckerTheTimes: Real Madrid are paying 25m euros for De Gea with United getting Keylor Navas (valued at 15m euros) in return. Real win there if you ask me

So Navas + 10m euro? Navas +25m?

Some wildly different fees getting suggested. Not that it matters really. They've got shitloads of cash and now have a worse goalkeeper.

Navas is a good keeper so they've done well out of that I think given the circumstances. Glad that De Gea has gone though.

He's a shot-stopper. His weaknesses are exactly those of Mignolet 2 seasons ago (crosses, high balls, corners). I'm hoping this is not going to end well for United.

Keylor Navas in and De Gea out. It weakens them. Wanted 35 mill and are getting 18,5 + Navas.

How are we going to take advantage of this?

He won them so many points last year - he was fucking brilliant. We take advantage of this (as I don't believe they're any better than last year) by taking their spot away from them ... Granted, I'm not optimistic because we have so many problems of our own but they're a much weaker team without De Gea in the back ... and it will affect their back 4 throughout the season.

Obviously a huge blow for us.

I fully expected him to leave at the end of season but as we got closer to the end of the window I thought we might be keeping him.

Navas is an excellent keeper just not nearly as good as De Gea.

Navas is pretty shit, shot stopper and king flapper from what I've seen of him. I'm not sure he'll displace that junk they've already got in goal

@GuillemBalague: The documents did not arrive on time!!!!!! Presentation was ready. All agreed. But as it stands de Gea stays at MUFC!!
