Dressing room morale

Coutinho told ESPN Brazil: "The goals were goals that could have been prevented. It started out wide and we end up conceding one of those goals the manager speaks about.

"He speaks a lot about this - we've conceded a lot of goals like this. And obviously in attack we were unable to score the goals necessary to draw or turn around the game.

"We were in the game during the first-half then the goal we conceded made everything worse."

Coutinho, who was denied by fine saves from Hugo Lloris, has urged his team-mates to show more concentration in games.

He added: "The first goal started in a wide position where everyone is involved in defending, not just the players right at the back.

"We have to improve this as quickly as possible in order to win games and fight more. With difficult games like this one, we know it's these things that decide them. So we need to concentrate more to deal with balls like this.

"The first goal was scored after four minutes and the second one after 12 or 13. It's difficult to play away from home against a strong team when you start like that.

"We have to work hard. Those passages of play, those set pieces from wide positions. We have to concentrate more to deal with them."

Just look at the cunt. He plays for his country and Liverpool and is in peak physical form yet his missus is banging the barman. Course she is. He's a fucking yahoo. So we're meant to feel sorry for the cunt? And then he gets broken into and tied up. If he lived next door to me I'd break in and tie the cunt up. It's called karma. Walk and talk that shit, don't be surprised when the gods take your soul. Fuck him to death.

I think it's harder to walk a righteous path than it is to make a mental note to never live next to Woland.

I don’t necessarily agree with some of the extreme criticism by some about Klopp’s system. When it works it works tremendously well and I’m happy with his philosophy.
No tactic in the world could prevent dickheads like Lovren making horrible school boy errors, or most of the team having zero concentration during set pieces. If VVD comes in the summer, I really hope we’re in for another CB in Jan. One window to replace two CB is too much but spreading it to two windows should be fine.
With Can going, we really should also be in the market for another CM in Jan, regardless of Keita coming in the summer. Lallana will be great to have back but he’ll be injured again.
LFC is supposed to be putting all trust in Klopp. Let’s give him everything he needs so we can test his football philosophy to the max. We’d be laughing if our back 5 from a decade ago were playing in Klopp’s current setup.

Actually going for that header that led to the second goal though. Does he think he's eight foot tall? Couldn't he remember how high he can jump? Remember, this is his full time job.

Those calling him the 'worst' defender in Liverpool history either have short memories, or are way too young to remember the likes of Glenn Hussein and my personal favourite, Nicky Tanner.

It reminds me of the calamitous period when Houiller started and we were trying a back five in every possible combination of players because nothing was working.

Turned out most of those players weren't good enough

I knew I'd misspelt his name but couldn't be arsed to look it up. Don't get me wrong, when he arrived, I thought he was going to be the next Jockey, but once forwards found him out, he went woeful. I'm not defending Lovren here ( I was actually the first to post on the match thread I'd drag him straight off and embarrass the hell out of him ). I just think we have suffered others equally as bad in the past.

Hysen captained Liverpool to the title

Putting his (misspelled) name in the same post as Lovren and Nicky Tanner is a fucking joke

Wasn't Kosma more of a midfielder ( alledgedly )

Don't remember Hysen captaining us to the title, but if you say he did will accept it.

None those defenders mentioned who are worse than lovren handed a long term contract for their shiftiness on 100k a week.

ming also signed a extension under klopp. shocking

Reward for failure is impacting on morale.

Torben Piecnik and Istvan Kozma were far, far worse than Nicky Tanner.

Poor as they were, this just isn't true. Once when Jan Molby gave an after-dinner speech and took questions he was asked who the worst Liverpool player was that he'd ever played with. His answer: "Nicky Tanner. He was shit. He somehow managed to come in to training each day and be worse than the day before." Even Bristol Rovers fans thought he was pants before we signed him.

I remember Tanner coming on as a sub at Anfield quite early on due to an injury. He was so appalling, he himself was substituted around the hour mark!

Isnt anyone bored of writing the same shit every week....????

I cant even be bothered to debate it anymore

Seems like massive change is needed at the club right down to the core, as major cock ups seem a regular thing over the last 5 years.

Balotelli
Sakho
Van Dijk saga
Suarez and the racist thing
CL and Brendan Rodgers shite selections
Letting a fucking Chelsea fan choose our next owners
Being: Liverpool (dear lord)

We could go on and on....

I miss the good old days, when we kept our council did things the way LFC always had done and basically didnt look like a bunch of fucking amateurs.

5 years? Try 25, from the time Sir John Smith stood down from the chairmanship and Laurel and Hardy, alias Moores and Parry, took over.

Incidentally, even if you don't rate FSG I'd exempt Broughton from at least some of the criticism, as he led the fight to get Hicks and Gillett out of the club. I'm not at all sure Purslow and Ayre would have been tough enough to get it done, but Broughton was and the two cowboys met their match there.

Really though?

At least we used to win stuff on the odd occasion....

Now we are the new bloody Everton

Sorry but I don't get what point you're trying to make here. I'm agreeing with you that we aren't what we used to be, just saying that that started a lot longer than 5 years ago.

Hysen was shite like but he was marginally better than Lovren, Nicky is a tie for me. Lovren is definitely up there as one of our worst ever centre halfs, absolutely no doubt about it, horrific player.

He looked decent in his first few games, then got injured (I think - certainly had a break from playing) and was never the same afterwards.

Was it Cadamartery who handed him his arse in the derby game that was the beginning of the end with him?

I'd forgotten that TBH but yeah, I think it was. How many feckers have had the game of their lives against us and then disappeared without trace over the years?
