Fat Sams grand scam, speaks easy.

Not really. It's like any non-exec role. You get paid shagloads for being able to pick up the phone to your contacts. Fairly standard stuff for very connected people.

Yeah. "I'm the keynote speaker and England manager. I can attract business. That's what you pay me for".

The rest of it is just blustery chat.

What does it prove? That Fat Sam is a fucking greedy wanker who loves himself, and football is full of dodgy, money-grubbing cunts?

Yeah, well done, we had no fucking idea.

I hate to say this, but based on my very limited perusal of the interview and its content, allied with a distinct lack of interest, I'm beginning to think "so what?" a little bit.

Quite. If they have any sense the FA should make it clear he's on his last chance, make him apologise and move on. It's either that or chase after a Bournemouth manager who exudes a Rodgers-like aura whilst barely winning any league games. Mind you, the best of England's recent managers are the ones who've departed after a scandal - Robson, Venables and Hoddle, so maybe this will convince the FA they've got a gem on their hands, rather than just in his pocket.

Mighty big "if" there, macca. But I agree, albeit reluctantly - dumping the fat git now would make a bad situation even worse.

The FA will struggle to let him off with using abusive and/or insulting words which make reference to a disability. He has to be charged, and then receive a fine and touchline ban for that alone. If it doesn't happen, if I were a manager I'd be branding every fucking referee under the sun a total spastic.

Does he even do that? He says 'Roy' and then 'Woy' - presumably the second time he says 'Woy' - the recording's not that clear. Is that REALLY a big thing? A couple of years ago Gary Lineker chatted to Hodgson about how widespread the impersonations of his speech were, and Hodgson said it didn't bother him at all (not that that provides licence for anyone to keep doing it, but still...). TalkSport regularly had someone not only making him say 'woy' all the time but also sound like a Dickensian stereotype Jew. Every tabloid has used 'Woy; in innumerable backpage headlines. One single aurally ambiguous 'Woy' on a dodgy recording would, IMHO, be pretty questionable grounds for dismissal.

Internet (The Times) reckons he's been summoned in to be fired.

I'm kinda shocked.

I have it on (good?) authority that Allardyce is one of the biggest cunts in football.

Albeit from a man whom most on here would probably consider a cunt.

Go well, fat man.

"Gareth Southgate, the England under-21 manager, is likely to be called upon to assume a caretaker role for England’s next two World Cup qualifiers on October 8 and 11 if Allardyce is sacked".

Bloody hell. Gareth Southgate. If anything he's even less encouraging than Allardyce.

Agreed, but I reckon this would be his reaction if anyone tried to bribe him

Replace Woy with Negrito, and the laws of the game will reveal themselves to you.

It's all fun and games, 'til somebody dies / gets fired. Hahahhahhahaaahahaaa this season is becoming an amazing one.

If they do sack him it wil be because he called them out over Wembley. I think they can put up with everything apart from being told they're wrong

I think that, & calling the rule of third party ownership ridiculous, are the biggest issues, just cos it undermines him as their representative.

Yes, thanks, I'm aware of them. Have you actually heard the recording?

You mean the bit where he says "He'll send them all to sleep Roy, Woy"? Yes I did. It's insulting which satisfies the first leg of the charge, and it makes reference to a disability which satisfies the second leg of the charge. He better fucking go down for it.

Glenn Hoddle's going to be spitting mad if Sam gets away with this.

"All I did was posit the theory that disableds are all the victims of karmic retribution from a vengeful God for the terrible things they did in a previous life. I didn't ask for £400,000 for it, either."

You know Hoddle may have been wrongfully dismissed... Expressing his human right to freedom of religion is what his words amounted to.

Hahahahaaahhhhhaaahahaha I know this.

It will meet on Tuesday morning when new chairman Greg Clarke and chief executive Martin Glenn must decide whether the issue is one of poor judgement or something more serious. "I want all the facts, to hear everything from everyone and make a judgement about what to do," Clarke told The Times. "Natural justice requires us to get to the bottom of the issues before we make any decision. It is not appropriate to pre-judge the issue. With things like this you have to take a deep breath."

When your boss starts using terminology like that, it's time to call your lawyer. Or call @dantes.

They're gonna keep piling it on every few hours aren't they?

Ha. It does amuse me that attitude. I'd love to hear people who say that come up with a solution to the problem hmrc is faced with when dealing with corporate tax disputes, spend millions of taxpayers money fighting it & risk getting nothing, or having to spend more millions in appeal, or take a lower amount & not have to spend anything on legal representation.

I'm not sure fat Sam is even remotely intelligent enough to consider anything using facts alone though.

He doubtless thinks he is, with his Powerpoint presentations and the rest, but this has found him out good and proper. Land your dream job after years of waiting and promptly p!$$ it up the wall, why don't you? It takes a very special (in every sense) kind of idiot to manage that.

It's far too early to sack him. I want all the fun of him laughing and pointing from the sidelines first.

This nonsense in the media about the FA 'needing to be seen to be consistent'. Since when? Yesterday? Any relatively competent legal team ought to be able to unearth ample evidence within minutes of the FA being consistently inconsistent. (As our legal team should have done.) As it is, it's just insulting to pretend that these decisions aren't made mainly or only on subjective grounds. If it suits the relevant parties (the FA and media), it'll be taken seriously, and if it doesn't suit them, it won't. Robson was told he'd get the sack if he didn't jump first when the tabloids caught him cheating on his wife, mainly because his record up to then as manager was so-so and the FA didn't expect him to have a great World Cup in 1990. Sven, on the other hand, stayed in his job in spite of multiple indiscretions because the FA were still convinced at that time they had a proper European manager in place. It would be much easier to tolerate these idiots if they just went ahead and did as they wished, but to pretend they're being 'consistent,' well, it's enough to make you want to throw up.

@SkyKaveh: Given list with names of 7 managers who fear they've been stung by Telegraph just like Sam Allardyce. 5 English, 2 ex international managers
