Its Tuesday today , and I'm reading posts where people are venting frustration at FSG. Its been two days guys, why should they make announcement after two days?
A few things to take into consideration.
1 ) had we had a striker we probably would've got 4th. would we be calling for his head then?
2) what is BR's compensation package along with the personnel he has brought in?
3) The suitable replacements, what makes you sure thay can take over this summer?
I personally think BR should go because the transfers made last summer were poor value above all it seems he has lost dressing room. But he should only go if we can get the right man.

1) Which striker would have scored the 8 goals giving us a decent result against Crystal Palace and Stoke?
2) I would happily spend the whole transfer Budget on getting rid of him and Pascoe.
3) Fat Sam was sacked the other day and is ready for a New assignment if we want to just og a small step up the ladder. For the rest, People are available. However it is a good point in that they might not fit the way John F(uck off) Henry wants to run his franchise.

The abuse thrown at Rodgers on this forum lacks class. He has had a poor year and could justifiably be sacked given the replacements available, but nobody who works tirelessly to improve this football club deserves to be called a "cunt" and all the rest of it.

Well given, Ancelotti is going in for surgery and unavailable for 6 months, Klopp rumoured to be taking a sabbatical for a while, Rafa apparently off to Real Madrid..... who exactly is available?

... and I mean available in a "not tied long term to another club unless we pay a big fee" sort of available.

You do realise that after spending a season without a credible striker, we inevitably just buckled. Sides do, we didn't concede 6 goals in a game last season with strikers. If you know anything about the game, playing without a consistent outlet invites pressure. I'm not going to excuse either defeat, but if you're going to make hapless points about scoring 8 goals and then about Suarez carrying us, at least be consistent and truthful about it, we didn't concede that many goals in a game or look that short of confidence last year because we had an attack that was functioning well, with Suarez AND his own signing, Sturridge.

It is premier League. Very few teams score 6 goals in a game. Noone concedes 6 goals against Stoke. Noone. I cant belieive Stoke has ever scored 6 goals ever. So yes it is a cheap point about we have to get 8 to be 4th.

But we still needed two to Reach the FA Cup final (and we hadnt buckled by then had we?). A pathetic game later, where we tried 4 different formations and were outplayed by the mighty Villa, we didn't create chances to get the goals we needed.

We are just not set up to be challenging for the top four. Suarez impact on last years team is more than the goals. It is frightening teams a week before kick off. It is running around tireless and giving People who dont run enough, pass good enough the stick right there and then.

And also last year we scored the three goals against Palace away that should have won us the league..... We just couldn't defend. We can't. We don't have the Clue. Rodgers, Pascoe and Marsh haven't got the clue of how to set up a team that need three points how to defend a 3-0 lead 15 mins from the end. Whats the excuse for that "buckle"?

you do know that United once conceded 5/6 against poor Newcastle and Southampton sides, yet challenged for the title both seasons (not to mention 5 against lowly Leicester this season). It's a hard result to take but its not the be all and end all of his career.

I think I agree with you on this. We've effectively played an entire season with no strikers and still managed 6th. I'd like to see how the teams above us would do with a season with zero strikers.
Granted Rodgers is the cause of us having no strikers, but all the same, he managed 6th with none.
Even with our bollocks defence I still think we'd have comfortably finished top 4 if we had one, that could score those goals they're paid to do.

What was the excuse for the title challenging form that preceded that game where we went on a mammoth unbeaten run and didn't buckle. You win some you lose some. What was the excuse for United letting in 5 at Leicester?

The excuse for the title challenging form was that we found a momentum where we found ourtselves unbeatable due to different circumstances and a team With leaders in it that could focus solely on the Next League game as we were out of all cups and didn't even qualify for Europe in Rodgers first season.

Oh seriously, give it a fucking rest. Could you be any more selective? So our shit form is down to him and our good form was in spite of him.

And you're not driven by an agenda at all. To think you were trying to tell me about perspective earlier, irony alert!

He is a clueless cunt.. out of his depth and needs to go...

Stop taking the term cunt as 'offensive'..

Depend on how it is said and the context it is given....

Well, since Rodgers the three last seasons have taken every opprtunity to take credit for the extreme well system and shape of Swansea, I have no problems giving him the stick of how our system and shape are at the moment.

The prime reason why I think BR should go is I think he has lost the dressing room and his transfer dealings were dreadful. But only if there is a suitable replacement.

But you HATE Rodgers Jono so your use of 'cunt' can only be taken in that context. (i.e.used to cause offence.)

I call many people cunts.. doesn't mean I hate them..

There is differance

I don't hate Rodgers... There is no reason to hate him.. he has done nothing direct to me to warrant that...

My ex wife however. I can't stand the bitch [emoji3]

I just 'dislike' him being our manager... Tactical flaws and being more cringeworthy than anything else..

Hence the Clueless ..... context..

I'm not missing anything or failing to understand your point of view. I just find it infantile.

1) Which striker would have scored the 8 goals giving us a decent result against Crystal Palace and Stoke?

Just playing devil's advocate here, but although you're right that no striker would have scored the 6 goals we needed on Sunday Vs Stoke, it's not that (utterly ludicrous) beating that would have been the difference... A handful of goals, scattered throughout the season against the likes of Hull (twice), West Brom, Leicester, Everton (twice), Sunderland and even Man U at home, would have seen us challenging for 4th place. Added to the correct games, five goals would have seen us in the European Cup next year.

Not saying that's an excuse, nor that I think we're just a fit Sturridge away from anything next year - Just pointing out that we just needed a handful of (the right) goals for a decent push at 4th place...

And also last year we scored the three goals against Palace away that should have won us the league.....

After the loss to Chelsea, we could have beaten Palace by 12 goals and still not won the league, mate.

Getting a grip is right. Too much unnecessary bile being spouted. Almost like some of our fans are enjoying this.

If I take last years an abberration, we've actually improved from his first season, by virtue of 1 position and 2 cup semi finals.

I'm still backing Brendan, but we have slightly underachieved this year by getting 6th place. Going by what we and others spend 5th place is what I expect. Anything more is overachieving. Anything less, underachieiving. The CL last 16 too, given our easy group.

Anyways, as has been said, we've done well for a team with no strikers (Brendan/FSG need to share the blame) and I would be 100% behind him, if it wasn't for that last game against Stoke (which could be the nail in the coffin). Maybe the players were on summer holiday, maybe it was just one bad game where everything Stoke hit went in. Maybe he hasn't actually lost the dressing room.

If he has, he needs to go. But certainly the result has done him no favours at all in the eyes of the fans and his detractors. Just given them more fuel.

Given the paucity of options, I really want him to stay and prove people wrong next year.

Our defence and goalkeeper are a bit ropey, but we did go consecutive games with clean sheets this year. Better defensively than last year (excluding Stoke).

I think if anything has killed him, it's not his coaching or tactics (but his transfers) because he's developed players and shown to be quite versatile tactically (even with his post-match blabberings where he reveals everything; as a young coach myself, it's fascinating, but as a fan of LFC he does need to STFU about how we win games). His transfers haven't delivered. I can forgive him for Markovic (he was hot property from what I heard and still might develop given time/patience), but the likes of Lallana, Lambert, Balotelli and Lovren were unforgivable wastes of money.

Talking about strikers, if rumours are true BR wants Benteke. That is another mid-table striker. I am not sure what to make of that after the triple L mid-table fuck up of Lovren, Lallana and Lambert.

Thats players who would fit perfectly well into Swansea?

I don't hate Rogers, and I don't like the word cunt used about him, butt I think he's a knob. A frozen knob.
Who has been hamstrung from the start by fsg Ayres and a cobbled committee.
