    1. Great turn-around by Cech – showing that a true winner can come back strongly even after by far the worst season of his career.
    2. Alisson in 2nd place (and best on shot-stopping). He could have been first, but after the early mistake he clearly decided to avoid risks with his distribution for now and due to our diligent defense he has very few crosses to deal with.
    3. Chelsea's Kepa statistically is slightly outperforming De Gea, but it's hard to compare a player from an underperforming team to an overachieving one. I thought he let in a couple of soft goals, but he's been preforming much better of late.
    4. I think Fabianski is the most underrated keeper in the league, and has been for some time already. Near the top of the ratings despite West Ham's tough start.
    5. Lloris's drunk-driving charge seems to have affected him and Pickford is comfortably the worst shot-stopper in the league.

I never realised Cech was so good at crossing … maybe he should be playing on the wing

Nobody has commented on it in the media because hes been excellent for a few years but to me DeGea looks like a player in decline he wasnt as sharp last season as previous and this year hes been average. Hes starting to remind me of Reina, clearly still a very good kepper but for whatever reason doesnt seem to care.

It looks like there isn't that much variance in distribution across keepers. Ederson is high, Fabianski low, but other than that, from the top 10 it seems its much of a muchness

That's how it should be, isn't it? If you generally play it out to your defenders rather than boot it upfield, the basic facts of your distribution surely ought to be very solid. As stats go it doesn't tell you much.

How have they worked this out? Etheridge is apparently as useful as a paper bag between the sticks, but he's saved two penalties.

Plus Cech is still shit, but those stats don't show it.

Ming saved a few penalties for us. I take it you think he’s boss.

I think De Gea has lost some hunger, he so wanted that Real move which didnt materialise and now they bought Courtois....

He must be miffed knowing he wont be going back to Madrid and has to stay in rainy Manc land with that Portuguese misery.

Cech has been dropped now hasn't he? Leno started the last game.

Cech is at the top of that, but I'd guess he probably won't play for a top club ever again.

No? Just going off the 8 games this season. Etheridge has made two penalty saves this season, but according to these stats, he's apparently made no saves, can't catch a ball or pass to a man.

Pickford: 'I won't make mistakes like Allison'. Tonight...he makes a horrible cock-up and is lucky it doesn't end in a goal. Serves the twat right.

Made several mistakes tonight. Jordan «T-Rex arms» Pickford is overrated.
