Very much in demand with a host of clubs trying to take him on loan including West Ham & Huddersfield.

The favourites are Cardiff who are riding high in the Championship and are prepared to pay a loan fee, all his wages and to guarantee starts for him, ahead of Middlesboro and Villa.

He has always looked a beast of a player in his limited appearances for us but very rash at times and has suffered a number of injuries that have held him back. Yet he is still only 21 and this move could give him the opportunity to break through and have an extended run of games in a competitive league.

I’d be happy for him to go to a high flying team pushing for promotion in the championship rather than a crap team in the EPL that will barely touch the ball.

Good move that, hopefully he comes back next season ready to push for a starting spot.

There was talk Aston Villa were interested, but hope he doesn’t go to a mid-table/relegation team in the championship, that’d be pointless

Villa are fourth

It will be Close to impossible to play a part here this season, even with Hendo out. Lallana back also make it hard to secure a Place on the bench. So a loan move to get game time and rythm will do him well before the summer build up to next season. I like the guy, and don't see that much a difference on throwing him instead of Milner into CM in games, but I understand why Milner gets the nod.

Ideally he should go to another Premier League team. Huddersfield, with Wagner in charge, would be a good choice. The main problem with the player is his discipline - he's always on the verge of a booking, or worse, because his judgement is slightly off and he's impetuous. Loaning him to a lower league club, where far more is tolerated by referees, wouldn't help that much - he'll only come back still needing to learn what he can and cannot get away with in THIS league.

I think the timing part will adjust itself from playing more games in competitive circumstances. Over here he is given max 20 mins or so to prove himself, and will probably overcompensate by trying to impress too much in short time. Playing week in and week out will give a different rythm to his game.

Yes, but it's no good if it's in a league that allows what the Premier League refs don't. He'll return still needing game time and experience he probably won't get. He needs Premier League experience elsewhere, where he can make his mistakes, learn from them, and come back ready.

I can't believe we've sent him to fucking Cardiff of all places. Neil Warnock is a proper ThunderCunt. Any place apart from there.

Weird if the 'loan fee' was seen as driving a decision here. If we see him as having a future in our midfield then surely he need to learn in the PL.

I don't see the issue really, playing regularly for a team challenging for promotion will be great if he actually does play regularly.
There's no guarantee of that obviously, but equally it's not like he can expect to walk into a Premiership team and expect to play often either.

He just needs to show what he can do in competitive football, played at a decent level, and that's what he can do at Cardiff.

Premier league experience is a bit daft tbh

I'd rather he play on a team on a high, who needs to win every week to gain promotion, rather than a team plays absolutely bollocks every week.

Not getting a touch of the ball against fucking Chelsea, isn't learning the league is it?

Dont think its the loan fee but rather a comittment from Cardiff that he’ll play reguarly.
Every loan we sanction these days have financial penalty if said player doesnt feature.

Good move as our players get playing time and the experience they need.

Good move for Gruijc

If he can't get a touch in central midfield against Chelsea then we don't need him

Because he'll be surrounded with similar quality as he would be playing with us?

He can't develop if he's the only one doing anything for a side.

He's much better off playing for a side that's trying to breed success, not delay failure

Nor is playing under fucking Warnock, is it?

"OK" as in "Yes,", "No,", "I misheard that as a racist remark," or "I'm too much of a tool to answer honestly"?
