Should be a game we can get our attack back on track as they won’t park the bus.

With Salah out Shakiri in ya

Chelsea Utd at 1230 is a big one too.

Depends whether he's actually got a strain or not.

It's hardly a stretch to imagine him blagging it to get out of the second game, what with the way the Egyptian FA have been treating him.

If it's real, then yeah, fuck risking him against a team who have been shockingly bad this season.

If it's not real, then he should defo play, cos Huddersfield so far this season have shown they're incapable of playing a defensive game (same as last season), can only play by attacking teams, yet are almost incapable of scoring.

Those attributes are almost ready made for our front three to start banging them in. With the run of games we have now we could really get a little run on, increase confidence & start getting that goals difference increase.

IF he's fit I'd play him first half & see if he bangs a couple in, if not I'd replace him at HT.

I really think they're the side that we can take full advantage of to get that front three firing again.

I think it's the perfect game to test Studge: if he really is properly fit, focused and ready to show he's back, start him and see. If it doesn't work out, then at least that's the end of that hype, we can bring Shaq or others on, and Salah will have had a rest.

Just been having this discussion with my mates. 3 said rest him & 2 said play them.

Tbh I think Klopp will rest him, & at least one other from the front three, but I would like to see them let loose against a poor defence after the quality of the teams we've faced far.

As far as I know it was decided that he was fine but sent back to LFC to rest before our next game. Some reports decided to skew that into an injury scare.

I'd expect the same team. Do we have Red Star after?

Wouldn't surprise me if Salah and Firmino didn't play. Salah's carrying an injury and Firmino has been shite.

    Shaqiri will start.

I'd love to see Shaq running at full energy from the off. A proper wide threat. I only think Studge works if it is in place of Firmino, which I wouldn't be totally against either but I think this is the game for the Shaq attack.

The reason I want Salah, Firmino and Mané all to start against Huddersfield and Cardiff is that; it's only a matter of time before they click into gear and we've had a tough run of fixtures, these 2 games will hopefully result in a 6 point haul and our front 3 finding form against lesser opposition.

I'm pretty sure they'll all start, for Salah getting back to melwood early and having a nice rest is exactly what he needs.

Saw his highlight reel from his Egypt game at the weekend. He's still wellying his shots miles left of the target and into row Z. I think he needs that golf psychologist or something. He's got the yips.

Given that he scored his goal directly (ie accidentally) from a corner, that sounds about right.

To be honest I don't think it was accidental, he's been trying to put it right on top of the keeper all season frustratingly, typical that it comes off whilst he's with Egypt.
