Saw his highlight reel from his Egypt game at the weekend. He's still wellying his shots miles left of the target and into row Z. I think he needs that golf psychologist or something. He's got the yips.

He's been getting too much coaching off our throw in specialist, he's kicking the ball as if he's trying to launch a long throw in

Koeman saying 'Klopp will be very happy' as Gini didn't play in their second game. One can assume that maybe Klopp asked he not be played and so plans to start him vs. Huddersfield. VvD was also rested vs Belgium.

Mane had some minor surgery today on that thumb injury.

A Liverpool statement said: "The surgery, conducted at a north-west hospital and supervised by club medics, was successful."
No timescale for Mane's return has yet been determined, but while the player's recovery will be monitored over the next couple of days, it would be a surprise should the Senegalese feature when the Reds resume their Premier League programme at struggling Huddersfield Town on Saturday evening.

Trent struggling with a back injury as well, this international break has been horrendous.

The reason I want Salah, Firmino and Mané all to start against Huddersfield and Cardiff is that; it's only a matter of time before they click into gear and we've had a tough run of fixtures, these 2 games will hopefully result in a 6 point haul and our front 3 finding form against lesser opposition.
I have no doubt we can beat Huddersfield but i have a strong feeling that should we go 3 or 4 nil up against them then Klopp will do something to fuck up the shape of the team to prevent it from further humiliating his friends team and his friend.

Fantastic news that our club medics supervised this surgery. Surely a minor thumb surgery is to important to leave a random doctor alone to deal with.

Salah and Virgil van Dijk are available to face Huddersfield. Mané should be available whilst Keita and Milner are doubts. [@MaddockMirror]

Maybe it's just me but considering we got 5 games in 18 days, and a number of our first team players are injured, I think our focus should be on just winning rather than inflicting humiliation.

Trust me he will do exactly that to prevent a 5 plus goal humiliation. He will start subbing and may even put Moreno on if we are up by 3 and they havd not scored.
If he does that then it won't have anything to do with the fact his mate manages Huddersfield, but because he's already been doing just that this season.

He's taken every opportunity to reduce the amount of energy we're putting into games, presumably so we don't hit a wall like we did last season towards the end of the season, as well to reduce the amount of minutes players who have been to the world cup are playing, so if he does so here then to assume it's because he doesn't want to embarrass his friend would indeed be moronic.

Back to the Milner, Hendo, Gini trio which will steamroller their midfield.
We really miss having any creative spark in that trio (apart from Milner crosses when he goes wide), and with the injuries and misfiring front three right now, it does worry me a bit. Two of them deep with Shaq playing advanced midfield would make me happier against a team that will be parked deep in their own half.
