Juve are being linked to him again today.
Still no concrete updates on a contract extension.
Will he move him on?
If so, for how much?

I'd rather he stays - kid hasn't come close to reaching his potential.

He's got a lot of potential, but he needs to start fulfilling it. If a decent offer came in then I'd let him go, but I'd rather he stayed.

He's run down his contract, and despite the assurances along the way that it isn't about money, and he is committed to Liverpool, we've all seen this story before. Depending on signings and Hendo's prognosis he may go this summer, and if so, he'll bring in something in the mid 20s I'd say, taking his contract into account.

We would be crazy to sell him but then you have people advocating giving Lucas extension

Can wants to stay, he just wants to get paid. Sell Hendo and get it done.

It rather depends on whether or not we agree with the amount he wants to get paid.

Having said that, he only has to mention the contracts that the likes of Lovren and Lucas are on, and start from there.

Gosh, I hate them cheapskate Italian clubs.

If you want one of their players, they want a king's ransom.

When they want one of yours, they'll try to steal him on a free, or offer you a yearly loan-to-never buy deal.

Juve should be awash with cash, but they'll offer us peanuts for him.

I just have a feeling that he wants assurances. With Wijnaldum, Hendo, Lallana and now Coutinho to compete with in midfield someone needs to go.
I'd rather it be Hendo than Can.

He needs to be the one giving assurances, not Liverpool. He's hardly performed at a consistently high enough level to make himself undroppable.

Mind you, neither have any of the others.

You just said he "wanted assurances". Literally in the previous post. fuck's sake.
I'm confused. What I mean is...fuck I don't know what I mean.
Maybe he wants money and assurances. Fucking hell just sell Hendo.
Ok you got me, I just want that weird gait motherfucker gone.

The thing is out of everyone at our disposal , crocked or not (in CM) his ceiling is far higher than everyone else's

I also think he's captain material going forwards , or at least more so than everyone else currently at the club and I certainly think Can + X is the answer to our midfield problem

if he can build upon this season , after signing into a new contract , you would imagine we would get muchos coin for him in 12 months time as he's built for dominating the continent

Henderson and Lallana hate is ridiculous really, both have been good signings for us. Only Modo can shoehorn a Henderson agenda into Can holding the club to ransom. If the greasy haired cunt stopped being so in love with himself and started putting in consistent performances, he'd have got his contract. Talk about nationality dictating opinion, in both respects.

I got nothing against Can - he's got all the attributes to become a solid CM.

His only downfall is his pace, although he can make up for that if he increases his tactical and positional sense for the game.

Pirlo... Alonso ... 2 of the slowest players I have seen in CM, but very smart and aware players - will Can raise his game to a level similiar to their level?

If he cannot, then I have no problems in shipping him off to Juventus - to a league where I think the tempo will actually suit him more and allow him to be more imposing.

Can in the last 5-8 league games or so was one of our better players. He scores more goals than Henderson. He doesnt seem to get injured much, has great stamina and has got more potential.

Henderson should be very worried.

Can give him a new contract.

Pace? Can is pretty quick.

Liverpool set to rebuff bids for Emre Can

German midfielder about to enter final year of his contract - but Klopp wants to keep him at Anfield

BYJAMES PEARCE
The German midfielder’s future has been the subject of speculation as he’s about to enter the final year of his existing contract.
Juventus are among a number of top European clubs keen to secure his services but the Reds are determined to rebuff all approaches for the 23-year-old.
Talks over a new deal stalled last season but Liverpool hope to resolve the situation over the coming months.
Can played an important role in the Reds securing Champions League qualification and Jurgen Klopp is planning for the new campaign with the former Bayer Leverkusen man on board.
Even if Can doesn’t put pen to paper on an extension this summer, Liverpool are prepared to keep him for the 2017/18 season - running the risk that he could leave for nothing next year.
Speaking towards the end of last season, Klopp said: “I think it is no secret how much I like Emre. He likes the club and that is a completely normal situation.
“We are in talks and there is absolutely no pressure. It is all good. It is two partners with big respect for each other.

“If we can keep good players that makes sense for development and he is one of these good players. I am quite positive.”
Can’s form improved significantly in the second half of last season after finally overcoming a troublesome calf problem.
His stunning volley at Watford won Goal of the Season and secured what turned out to be a crucial triumph in the race for a top-four finish.
