It might Costa lot - But is it worth it?

Are you going to come up with that every single time another club buys a bargain basement player ? Because Spurs are buying in Aldi until their stadium is paid for (and even well after that unless they can dramatically increase their commercial earnings - though the increase in salaries they are going to be pressured into could easily eat that up too).

Spurs are a bit like Leicester or Southampton at the moment as far as buying power is concerned. They are going to have to gamble on 50/50s. We don't want to be in that market, we want/need to be buying 80/20s.

Tottenham have announced that a deal with Ajax has been agreed for the transfer of Davinson Sanchez.
It’s understood Spurs will pay a club-record fee in the region of £42million for the centre-back.

‘I would like to thank the coach, management, players and fans of Ajax. It is a great move for me to come here to develop my career,’ Sanchez told Tottenham’s official website. The announcement ends the long wait for a new arrival at White Hart Lane this summer, with the Colombian international the first of the current window.
‘I am very excited to be signing for such a famous club as Tottenham Hotspur. I am looking forward to working with Mauricio Pochettino and the players and meeting everyone there.’

The move follows comments from Pochettino earlier today in which he said he ‘expects the club to sign more players.’
The deal breaks Tottenham’s previous record transfer of £30m, which was paid for Moussa Sissoko last summer.

He doesn't even look that good. Things are mental at the moment. Ajax should look to sell most of their squad this window. They could probably make close to 200 million when in reality the players are worth 20% of that.

They could sign young Ojo and make him look like Robben in that league

I reckon Man City are gonna sign Mbappe and pair him up with Gabriel Jesus. Then we'll try and swoop in for Aguero.

They lost the CL qualifier to Ballotellis Nice. Then they lost the EL qualifier first leg at home to Bendtners Rosenborg. This season their record purchase is a Norwegian youngster from Herenveen. They have a couple of interesting weeks ahead.
