I think the goal keeper situation is getting to Klopp. He should just decide now on his number 1 for the rest of the season, and see it through.
I think that is exactly what he has done. Clear Mignolet is finished.

Saw this posted on fb, not sure how genuine it is, but sounds real:

Simon Mignolet: "10 days ago, after the game against Burnley, I had a conversation with Klopp."

“In the Christmas period we had rotated again and I felt that that was not a healthy situation for a keeper."

"Klopp then told me when Sunday was confirmed before and after the match, but of course I'm not happy with that, but no heavy words have come afterwards."

"Klopp told me that honestly and personally in that interview, of course I am not satisfied with that, but I always have to respect the trainer's decision."

“After everything that has happened this season, I know where I stand and the situation has become clearer.”

He added: “Of course I also have to think about my own future, the only thing I can do is focus on the training and do my best, I'm 30 years old and the World Cup is coming in. This situation can not last too long, that's clear. I can not say more about it."

EDIT - just noticed it posted in the Mignolet thread. Sorry for repeating

Really?

I get he hasn’t been amazing, but I really don’t get the complete contempt folks have for him.

I think it's the fact we had waited patiently for Mings replacement and even after giving him considerable time he's still not performing when given a chance.

The fact most would actually prefer Ming in goal at the moment says it all.

He hasn't shown himself to be dominant in any area of keeping.

I don't think Klopp has came out to say it but I would be happy to put this goalkeeping situation to bed.

Mignolet should have been dropped after Arsenal, but he played the next game after much speculation. Karius then came in against Everton, and when people were thinking it was cup rotation, Karius appeared for Citeh again. It is always a talking point that is becoming tiresome.

I don't think Klopp has came out to say it but I would be happy to put this goalkeeping situation to bed.
But he has said it :

Asked about the switch, Klopp said: "With goalkeepers you have to do it like this. Usually I could say it's a decision for today but if Loris now is able to perform, he will stay in the goal." (http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/287284-klopp-explains-karius-selection-against-man-city)

OK there is the "if he is able to perform" caveat, but he would be mad to say that he'll stay in no matter what.

I saw a stat today that of all the goalkeepers that have played in the premier league this season (27), Karius is the only one to have conceded more goals than shots saved.

Mignolet was 24th on that list. Predictably, De Gea was top.
