Koeman...

I honestly wonder how bothered Koeman will be. In theory a sacking won't help his CV, but it's par for the course for managers and he's never looked to me like he actually wanted to be there.

Allardyce won't go for it even if invited IMO. He wants the USA job.

He is purportedly interested in managing Barca one day. To do that he really has to demonstrate genuine growth and build an impressive story of managerial success, like Poch is doing.

Regardless of wanting to be there, or if it was a stepping stone, getting sacked by a middling club like Everton, after spending 150m in one transfer window is a big setback , and there will be plenty looking at his failures when expectations are higher, at clubs that aren't even close to the 'elite level' like Everton and Valencia

Koeman had that look of someone who's gone into a shop, realised immediately that it's not at all what he had in mind, but feels obliged to pretend to be interested for a moment or two before leaving again. I think it was the mad fan reaction to Koeman's red tinsel Christmas decorations that made him realise he was surrounded by loons.

My guess is that was the last straw rather than the first inkling. He probably came to his senses about 2 seconds after signing for them and thought "What the absolute **** have I done"?

I don't believe for one second that he'd take the job but, if he did, would you finally shut the f'ck up about him?

I hope he gets it and makes them the bestest team eva! Then at least Modo will have one good team to support while we right our ship

There was a lot of talk last week that Benitez had been contacted about the Everton job already and said no
