Well obviously not the musical genius of Paul, John, George and Ringo. Instead let's chat about the front line of Salah, Firmiho, Mane, Coutinho - That is one seriously fucking cool front four. I think we must enjoy it while it lasts - It's almost certain 'The Magician' will leave soon (for a hefty sum - After last night)

Anyway it must terrify the fuck out the opposition when all 4 play.

I was going to try a Beatles analogy - Attributing a Beatle to our LFC fab four. I started writing it but it seemed awfully shit so I deleted it. My problem was all of them would be John Lennon! ;)

If we could only put out a Fab Four at the back we would storm the league.

We score a goal every 19 minutes when they play together.

    It’s fuckin ridiculous.

Not sure if the Beatles comparison is very useful, in truth, but here's how I see the roles in football terms:

Mane – the intimidator. Defenses are scared of his incredible pace, power and especially his sheer unpredictability. The 2 goals today were a good illustration of his ability to make instant adjustments – the volley where he initially looked like he wanted to lace the ball, but then adjusted mid-jump to side-foot it perfectly into the corner. Then the split-second improvisation to turn in Sturridge's pass that was played behind him. Sometimes that unpredictability leads to wrong decisions, but a bit like Suarez, it makes him even more intimidating because defenders genuinely don't know what to expect at any given moment.
Coutinho – the genius. He needs a platform to perform at his best, but when on song he is the one player taking football to the level of art. Last 2 games were his best of the season so far, he was unplayable and it's a different kind of intimidation compared to Mane – the intimidation of sheer talent, where the opposition is tempted just to throw the hands up and say: "OK, this guy is just too good, what am I supposed to do?"
Salah – the finisher. We all know about the incredible pace (I really want to know who won that race between him and Mane yesterday), sharp finishing and desire to keep making runs for all 90 minutes, but I think there is one quality in particular that Salah brings to our attack and kind of glues it together – his decision-making. His thinking is always highly practical: if there is a simple quick pass he will always play it, if he needs to beat a player with pace to keep the attack going, he will do it. He has increased the efficiency of our front line by a lot compared to last season, not just with his goals, but because he always seems to make correct decisions in split second. The 2 counter-attacking goals against Brighton or Coutinho's 2nd tonight were the perfect illustration – neither one happens if Salah doesn't play exactly the right pass at exactly the right moment.
Firmino – the motor. If there is one player who can be compared to Ringo in this uber-talented "fab four," it's definitely him. Bobby has plenty of talent and skill himself, but it's his selfless running, pressing, fighting and willingness to be completely unselfish in every phase of play – sometimes to his own detriment – that really sets the tone for the whole operation. This is why he's become kind of a cornerstone player for Klopp, because more than any other player he defines the type of team-oriented attacking play that is Klopp's signature. The other 3 are all highly ambitious stars in their own right and the competition between them should be a great and healthy thing for the club; Firmino is the one who complements each one of them and gives them a platform to shine.

You've all got the wrong end of the stick with this Beatles shit; you need to be mapping them to Ian McCulloch, Will Sergeant, Les Pattinson and Pete de Freitas (RIP) if you really want to compare them to the best band ever to come out of Liverpool

Must make Studge sick to his stomach to see that we have a "Fab Four" and he isn't one of them. I'm loving how they all get better and better together each game.

I don't want us to sell anyone of them, and I don't care about the money being mentioned either.

Let's just play football and let the others worry about their game of 'Monopoly'...
