QPR - Liverpool Sunday @ 13:30

The first of 7 games in 20 days.
Away in London against a team of utter tripe whose last preformance,(2-0 at West Ham) had ‘arry mumbling to his shoes coupled with some classic Hodgson-esque forehead massaging and face rubbing. QPR desperately need points at home. Mr. Rodgers has to be pulling six points from these types of teams a season but with Real Madrid 3 days later how does he approach this.
Everyone except Suso & Flanagan should be available.

Cheers again and again..............

We've got to win, however the team will understandably be a lot more excited about Wednesday as I'll be there, however they must put that aside and focus on QPR. I think it's probably safe to assume Sterling will be rested, and I have no problem with that to be honest, I'd like to see the diamond return with Lallana at the tip, Balotelli and Sturridge upfront, and I long overdue return for Joe Allen. That's probably our best team, and it also rests up Sterling and Markovic for Wednesday, where I think their pace will be a real (pun intended) asset, as that Madrid team leaves a lot of space to exploit.

Start Sturridge and take him off at half time when we're 3-0 up. Take Johnson and Allen off and give Can some minutes too

Mig
Johnson Skrtel Toure Enrique
Gerrard
Allen Henderson
Lallana
Balotelli Sturridge

Studge and mario having been training together for last 2 weeks during international break so i am expecting some goals from both

rock bottom 4 points -11 goal difference and shite every time I've seen them

I hope they're our new Norwich

Put a full strength team out and hope to kill the game in 60 mins so we can take players off. Premiership should always be a priority (unless if course it's like 2005 when we knew we weren't gonna make top 4).

I'm half expecting QPR to play a blinder on Sunday and give their best performance of the season.
We're in no position to think about Real Madrid though.
Strongest possible team.

Ming
Johnson Skrtel Lovren Moreno
Gerrard
Hendo Lallana
Sterling
Balotelli Sturridge

Sub Gerrard and Studge off if we're cruising. Which we probably wont be.

Injuries dependent:

-----------------Mignolet---------------
Manquillo---Skrtel--Lovren---Moreno
-----------------Gerrard----------------
-----------Hendo------Allen------------
-----------------Lallana-----------------
-----------Balotelli---Sturridge---------

Sterling clearly feeling burned out - I wouldn't even take him in the squad and give him a few days in the training ground

I said the other day that sterling shouldn't be anywhere near the squad for this, I want him rested & fully fit to play against Real.

If we can't beat QPR without the lad we're fucked regardless.

Exactly - and we have a big run of games coming up so rest him for this and let him start the majority of the rest, if not all of them. Real will arguably be the biggest game of his career, he'll be bang up for it!

Fantasy Football suggesting Allen and Can are out but who knows - I based my team off the OP's "all fit bar Flanagan and Suso".

I really hope all three @dmishra has named are fit to start.

Can has confirmed himself he's back in training.
Lovren was in the photos from training the other day. He seems fit aswell.

If everyone is fit, I'd go:

..........................jones
Manpillow....skrtel..Lovren....Moreno
.………….......allen
Hendo………………………sterling
………………the llama
………balotelli…sturridge

Take sterling/Sturridge off at half time when we're winning

Balo will enjoy being reunited with Rio

BR: We’ll see how Daniel Sturridge is tomorrow. He’s training, looking well. Emre Can’s back in, Joe Allen’s back in.

The Sturridge quote is for Hodgcunt's benefit, no? He'll probably be sub in preparation for the Madrid game though.
