Life after Coutinho

Sorry for your loss, Woland.

Makes us realize that there are things in life which are far more important than a little spoiled filthily rich football player throwing the toys out of his pram...

The AM position is generally chock-full of talent across Europe, so there shouldn't be a problem getting someone with potential in.

The trouble is Coutinho is 25 and at the peak of his powers. To effectively replace his 'impact', we'll need to sign someone similarly experienced.

We can't be waiting 2-3 years for a prospect to develop. That's a rebuilding process which will lead to more of our better players leaving.

I genuinely don't think the team as it stands is many steps away from being capable of winning trophies. We need to avoid a rebuild at any cost, because that will certainly close the window of opportunity we have with Klopp at the helm.

Well we differ on our views of how close this is to being a competitive squad.

I think we need to turn Coutinho into 3 or 4 good players to become competitive.

Swapping him for another AM on the same level for a similar price doesn't advance things for us. Particularly with the amount of money we have invested in poor to average players.

I always thought Lanzini was a diet version of Coutinho. Don't want him to replace Phil though.

Maybe, but if you'd have heard him shouting at me to get the footy working on his tablet in hospital last week, maybe these things are all as important as each other.

Leon Goretzka is in my mind the best replacement. Give Schalke £80 million

Koke from AM please. But likely that Simeone would not sanction that move, so perhaps that perennial heir to Stevie's throne, Hamsik.

When I saw Firmino heading up to take the penalty.

Look at that cunt Lovren congratulating himself as he played that pass to Firmino haha.

"He loves Liverpool" JAR says ... no fuck him. We're got a fucking dynamite attacking 4 - that few clubs will do anything against and he pulls out.
Fuck him, I'd rather let him rot in the reserves till he's 30 than sell him to Barca. Fucking cunts.

The Swansea Player Everton are looking at buying. Probably the next best number 10 player in the league..

Premier League Record

42 Goals and 33 assists in a 180 odd PL appearances..

Replacing Coutinho:-

1) He has to be able to dribble - tricky skills
2) Scores from free kicks and and good shot - so looking for 10+ goals a season usually from outside box
3) Not physically big.
4) Goes missing in games now and then
5) Not very good if he is the main man as last December/Jan proved when he got back from injury with no Mane in the team.

I am willing to sacrifice point (2) down to about 7-10 goals max a season if we can improve upon (3), (4), (5) with a bonus of the replacement being non South American - by that I mean not from columbia, brazil, aregentina, uruguay - you know those countries that only see Real/Barca on their TV screens - this could mean that when the replacement comes good and world-class and any one of those two Spanish cunts come calling - they may turn around and rather hand in a transfer request - say "who the fuck are they ?"

Gyfil Sigurdson.. He was Swansea stand out player last season.. Kept them up..

Severely underrated player imho..

He would be perfect replacement for Coutinho, at least for the interim..

Oh Yeah ... remember that guy - we wanted him did we not under Rodgers ?- then he fucked of to Spurs because they were paying more or something.

papers saying Lorenzo Inzaghi, around £60m. Mahrez,we probably could get for £45m though, saving an extra £15m

Shame we cant get Asensio. Just scored an insane goal against Barca. What a player.

Mahrez and Vardy with Origi going the other way. I know you guys think he's cunt but he scores goals and with the chances we create he could score 20 plus

Good shout.

Sorry chaps ... but i followed a link in google which took me to an article on the web published by the filthy banned newspaper. But it was about 6 days old and concerning our interest in Lucas Moura who is said to want to leave. If true i would love to have him play for us. Scores goals and does not seem to go all weak in the legs at the mention of the likes of Barca. Also probably only £35M for us and only 24 years old.
