[article=http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3086401/Jurgen-Klopp-Turkey-ahead-proposed-talks-Fenerbahce-manager.html]Jurgen Klopp is in Turkey ahead of proposed talks with Fenerbahce.

The departing Borussia Dortmund manager is wanted by Fenerbahce to replace Ismail Kartal.

Fenerbahçe are still in the Süper Lig title race and the Turkish Cup semi-finals, and will be eligible to play in Europe again after serving their UEFA competition suspension.

The 47-year-old German, who recently confirmed that he will be leaving Dortmund at the end of the season, made the trip with his wife and his agent, Marc Kosicke.

Turkish media have reported that Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim is due to meet with Klopp on Monday and give him a tour of the club's training facilities.

It would come as a blow for West Ham as Klopp was understood to be their No 1 target to take over from out-of-contract Sam Allardyce.

Big Sam is unlikely to be handed a new deal with the club when his contract expires at the end of the current Barclays Premier League season.[/article]

lol west ham's number one target. Aswell as Messi, Pogba, Courtois, and Bale of course.

He was quoted in saying he will not manage in a country where he cannot speak the language..

He is probably using this to get clubs to start to make a move for him

So I cannot see this happening...

If he ends up at Fener then there is something wrong and not necessarily with us.

Like when these once great European players go there and everyone says "why didn't we.." ignoring that no one else big enough did either, before forgetting entirely about player X within a year as they disappear into obscurity (or Russia/America).

What's the point of going for a manager who will make us a project, if we are not prepared to give our current manager, who is half way through his project, the time to finish said project?

We're favourite to get him with most bookies (well, the two I checked), just ahead of City and Madrid.

Klopp has won titles and reached a champions league final with a fraction of the money Rodgers has spent.

The balance of probabilities of success.

But I wouldn't particularly see Klopp taking over as a 'project' anyway. The squad is taking shape and maturing quite nicely, just needs a better coach to guide it. I'd expect immediate improvements with Klopp in charge.

It doesn't matter. If you don't think we're better off getting klopp in then you're basically fucking stupid.

Different league, start of a new project, patience needed (hard to come by). He's not going to walk the league, he'll maybe get us back on a level footing in Europe and then a season or so in, people will be moaning that domestically he's not doing it. You're acting like it's a dead cert that we'll be back in the thick of it, you know, like we were last season.

I'm not. What I know is that no top player will want to come here unless we show some ambition.

Because it's not the hyperbolic way where knee jerks rule.
