What did piss me off though was the fact that YNWA was played about five minutes before kickoff and before the sides came out on the pitch to facilitate the Champions League music.
Was this done previously?
Wrong in my view.

Yes, it's part of the champions league guidelines, the players have to emerge from the tunnel with the music playing and all the stewards at the centre circle waving that UEFA football shaped flag thing.

Well, he sounded very anti-foreign, or at least pro-English, when discussing managers after Ged left. He was very vocal in urging the club to go for someone like Curbishley, and then when at Spurs was eager to say how great it was to be with English coaches again. I did express some regret about it at the time, only to incur the full force of Brendan's ire for my pains. I was close to being headwanded.
If I remember correctly, when Rafa booted him out he blamed it on Rafa preferring foreigners over Englishmen as well, he's always been banging on about foreign players keeping the English out.

Ming could have cost us, as per. He needs to step it up and fast.

If his body can be fixed i soncerely hope that we get Valdes in the goal...to challenge seriously its the one of the most vital positions on the field and we simply cant wait for a player to get better... we need a class goaly now not in 2 years time...

I'm starting to agree.

Appreciative of the tenacious display they had witnessed by the travelling outfit, Kopites stayed behind after the final whistle to applaud both the players and supporters of the Bulgarians for their efforts throughout the encounter in L4.

A Liverpool spokesperson said: "Ludogorets officials have been in touch with Liverpool today to once again emphasise how impressed they were by the appreciation and respect they were shown by our fans last night.

"They were very humbled by the applause afforded to them by Liverpool supporters at the end of the game and were keen to make it known how grateful they were."

Ok my view from the Kop.

Mignolet - he's still indecisive and what was he doing for their goal? That said, it was fucking rich from Gerrard to bollock him so long and hard after Gerrard himself sold ?Mignolet short.

The FB's were good. Especially Moreno. Manquillo nearly scored and earned the pen. They both have offered more than the previous incumbents.

Lovren looked good to me. He is prone to being megged but he was solid and went to ground when necessary. Sakho just never looks like he's in control of the ball and looks like he's caressing the ball rather than passing it. He also went to ground too often.

My issue with the CB's is that they split too far apart and Gerrard drops in to the space like a 3rd CB. But when he pushes forward they weren't getting back tighter together which left a gaping hole in the centre of our defence.

Coutinho was wasteful. Remember when Garcia tried those stupid tricks and flicks at the wrong time and the wrong place? Yeah that.

Henderson worked hard but just seemed to struggle to retain the ball.

Gerrard. This is where our issues stem. Not with him, but the role he is playing. A deep lying midfielder dictating the tempo. But he's so deep at times he's a third CB. Or he's getting caught too high up the pitch and leaving a gaping hole. Plus his set piece delivery was poor. I'd like to see someone bollock him the way he bollocks players when they fuck up. He can't have it all his own way. BUT you knew he wouldn't miss from the spot.

Sterling. In the first half he was double teamed by them and was the subject of niggly fouls from them. Second half he had an impact from wide and then just as he was getting joy, the subs happened and he moved inside and was less effective again. I'd have liked to see him up front in behind and around Balotelli.

Lallana. Worked hard but always seemed to want that extra touch, or more time. He looked laboured to me.

Balotelli. Hard work? In patches. He glides across the ground but looked like he didn't know whether he was up top or dropping deep,. His work rate will never be that of Suarez and he has presence but sometimes we lumped lazy balls to him at chest height which he seemed frustrated with. He needs someone up alongside him. He's not a lone striker. Great finish for the goal.

Subs
Borini. As soon as he came on he increased the work rate up front and forced a good save. He was running in behind their defence and that opened and pulled them around. His introduction changed the game.

Lucas. Why was he ahead of Gerrard. He should have sat and Gerrard should have been pushed forward.

Performance? 5/10 - we'd have lost if they had better presence and composure up front. But we have three points and it doesn't matter how we get them.

Liverpool aren't we...

No, apparently it was all my fault.

I am a bit tired of Couti at the moment - I think he should be bought on later in games, right now I am all for Lallana to play - we have too many of these creative non finishers in our team now.

I don't understand why you'd want to witness a bunch of mancs celebrating a goal against Liverpool. I can't fathom that at all. It makes us much sense as our pet manc hot-footing it to log in here after his team had been twatted by MK Dons. Unfathomable.

He has 2 older brothers and 1 younger brother.

All 3 are Scum fans.

This is as cut and dried a case of Stockholm Syndrome as you're going to get.

Nay doc. It is delicious to read their glee, knowing that on the very next page there will be much gnashing of teeth. Is like watching the 2005 final all over again.

Manquillo looked fantastic in the video clip.

I'm still amazed he got up all the way there to force the keeper error and win that penalty. Balotelli had given up on the overhit pass but Manquillo just kept on attacking it like a mad dog. The fight he showed was fantastic and I'm sure Rodgers must've been really pleased with the youngster's attitude.

To then read the next page, where they react to our winning goal. That's why.

Yeah, where I'm sure they said it was lucky, a dive, Liverpool bailed out by a dodgy decision etc etc. Couldn't give a hairy fuck what they've got to say.
I confess to actually reading it (in a moment of boredom) & you are exactly right; except you missed the fact they they, ever so cleverly & wittily, referred to us as Penaltypool

Ahh, I'm now regretting not clicking to see that rapier wit, that razor-sharp satire.
