Joel Matip back in training for Liverpool at camp in Barcelona following ankle injury. Expected to be fit for weekend.

Thank. The. Lord. Good news!

Yes, but tempered by the news that he is reconsidering going off to the ANC ffs

I can sympathise though. I mean, aside from our local Northwest rivals, are there many more loathesome clubs than Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham? Add Alan Pardew to the mix. Fuck me.

Sturridge could return aswell. According to the Echo he could return to training tomorrow. Could.

Its just a quote from the Cameroon manager. Nothing from Matip as of yet. No need to get nervous.

True but I don't like the sound of this quote one little bit
“But in the meantime I’ve heard that he is now prepared to make a comeback and so I am going to go and see him again.”

Me too. Craven Cottage is quite charming.

Yeah, they have those famous pies, they always used to (still do?) have a mixed seating stand, their fans are friendly and non-aggro, their executive boxes are those prefabricated sheds stacked on top of each other, there used to be that statue, plus - and most importantly - it's the away ground I've been to most often, and across 15 years of sporadic attendance, Liverpool have won every single time

Do they still have a the statue of the paedophile outside the ground?

It was the first premier league game I've been too. Sat in the mixed stand for a 3-3 draw between them and Villa back in 2005. Fond memories.

I suspect Silver Sean has only been to London once, and on that fateful trip was mugged, and then bummed into madness by a group of cockneys wearing assorted football kits.

I lived there for three years and go there regularly for work and fun (and aways). I was at a meeting near Tower Bridge just last week. But in this post-truth world, you crack on ;)

Me too. Only London away that's actually enjoyable. The rest are wall to wall cunts.
I beg to differ Sir. Having have been a resident of my capital city (Kentish Town, Clapham, Camden) I feel I can step into this debate. Fulham are sound so is West Ham. I'll go as far to say that even Crystal Palace are pretty OK. The rest can get to fuck.
: Edit - Oh Shit! SS has me on ignore. No worries. I'll leave it here anyway.

Joel Matip has ruled out any chance of him playing in next month’s Africa Cup of Nations [Mirror]
As the only one of our central defenders that I actually trust, this please me greatly

Fulham always appeared to be a decent club as did Charlton.

Southampton don't seem so bad either.

Big game this weekend we need to bounce back in style.

Based on last week would you drop Lovren or Lucas?

Crystal Palace ?? The most inaccessible club in the country - hate that place, well trying to get to it anyways.
