Seeing that we have a number of talented youths out on loan with the likelihood of more going out I though it might be a good idea to keep the chat in here rather than in the youth/reserves thread or elsewhere.

Anyhow Adorjan scored and got sent off in his debut for Groinigen.
Was playing decently as well and the sending of was rather harsh apparently.

Good idea.
I'm particularly interested in how Suso is going. Playing well by all accounts.

The thread might work even better if posters were prepared to "adopt" a loaned player and report on their progress, a bit like in the far foreign land thread.
Modo is a big fan of Suso and seems to be following his progress anyhow so perhaps he would like to report on his progress.
@Modo
Someone who follows Dutch football closely like say Cloggypop or KHL might like to report on Adorjan etc

Ever since winning their opening match of the season, Coady's Sheff Utd has gone winnless in 4 games (1D 3 L). Played the entire match in yesterday's 2-0 away loss to Bradford.

Meanwhile, Robinson helped Blackpool to their 2nd clean sheet in 3 matches (since he started turning out for them at LB). They won 1-0 against Reading at home yesterday.

Groningen are shite but I will watch them if I am in the pub and they are on. They will probably be playing someone half decent and will get battered though. I am also not expecting him to come back really but Zivkovic might be worth watching.

In other news my tags work again. Woohoo.

Michael Ngoo started the game for Yeovil at home to Derby County yesterday but was withdrawn at halftime. They lost the game 3-0.
Yeovil manager Gary Johnson left regular strike duo Paddy Madden and James Hayter on the bench and deployed a midfield five in an attempt to contain the Rams.

However, his side struggled to seize the initiative for large periods and often found lone striker Michael Ngoo isolated in the final third.

Ok then I know one Groningen fan so you can have his report second hand of Adorjan.

He likes him. He was playing on the right. He scored then he hit the bar then he got sent off. He is now out for the next two matches but apparently it was very harsh. Groningen have a terrible defence and are going to concede loads but he is happy to have him in the attack and thinks he is worth his place so far.

Can't remember who shared the youtube clip of Adorjan's performance in the game, but I can see why he got sent off. Aerial challenge, jumped and flapped his arm about and bang, right into the opponent's head. Good goal that he scored though and unlucky not to have another with that thumping shot against the cross bar (although I think the keeper might've tipped it over if it'd been lower).

He did say he was a bit flappy. The thing is this lad I know will be watching every Groningen game for sure so will be seeing more of Adorjan than any of us more than likely. I can report back from him but I will warn you all now that he is likely to be very biased and he only has one eye.

Almeria have signed a Portuguese left winger on loan from Braga called Helder Barbosa so perhaps the thinking is to play Suso more centrally. I can't see Aleix Vidal being dropped so perhaps Suso will play centrally?
- Poster on Rawk

Hope so. Would be great to see Suso leading that team to safety this season - that kind of maturity will be hard for Rodgers to ignore.

Here is a list of the most prominent players on loan this season. There are probably a few more youth team players that others might like to add and keep an eye out for

@Modo has said he will report on Suso and @cloggypop on Adorgan.
Perhaps @Pesam would update us occasionally on Coady and Robinson.
I can keep an eye out for Assaidi if nobody else wants to do it.

Assaidi - Stoke
Reina - Napoli
Suso - Almeria
Coady - Sheffield United
Robinson - Blackpool
Adorjan - Groinigen

only one of them will be playing for liverpool in 2 seasons...step forward Suso.

Assaidi made his debut for Stoke in the League Cup win over Walsall replacing Brek Shea for the second half.
Here are a few of the comments about his debut.................

- Lots of promise in attack, but he did look a little bit lost when we didn't have the ball and lacked a bit of sharpness.

- I was impressed.
Looked really sharp, especially for his first 20-25 minutes.

-Didn't overplay it - and more often than not played it neat and simple with his head up.

-Absolutely wonderful.
Quick, agile, determined, skilful. Good awareness of team mates.
Desperate to score. IMO best on the pitch

-Exploded onto the scene then got lost at the death.

-Good start.
Drifted out of the game after that, but he can be excused for that after his lack of football over the last 12 months.

-he was very good, impressive performance and can only get better.
He was quick, tricky and has very good awareness.
he also looked hungry for goals which was nice to see.
Stokiejack has also made a good point there.
very promising.

-Good pace and looks very hungry! His final delivery lets him down however.

Chelsea - Bayern game more interesting, I'll switch over when its over.

Goal. Almeria 1-0 up.

Suso involved in the build up. Cuts in from the right, is blocked off, retrieves the ball, passes it out to the right flank.
Cross comes in, header, in.

He's playing on the right wing.

Penalty to Almeria, another handball.

Suso was just about to hit the rebound when the ref blew the whistle.
GOAL!

Half time report.

Missed the first 30 mins due to the Chelsea - Munich game. Saw some of it though, during pauses.
Anyway, Suso had a good first half. Always looking to find players in the box.
Looks confident and seems to be an important player in the team.
Still suffers from playing in a poor team, though. Does a lot of running but doesn't get the ball.
