We need a big name signing. Why do we always look for shortcuts
Which big name signing would be happy to come and play second fiddle to Sturridge? And would we pay £30m (or whatever) for a back up striker?
Remy is the perfect fit - at the right price - for what we need.
Not for this position. We play a line up with one striker and unless we are shoving Studge to the bench then we need to find someone who can rotate with him but primarily either be his understudy or also cover other positions.
If we *need* a big name signing it should be for another position.

yeah but last season using this formation we had sturridge and suarez playing together and scoring fuck loads of goals . so i don't think it's wrong to look for another top class player who can contribute goals . I mean are we not looking to replace at least some of the goals suarez scored ? do we think lalllana and markovic will contribute a decent amount ?
Edit - and why did we look at sanchez then ? if we signed him would we not have gone for markovic ?
Or someone like Marco Reus, who can play across all three front positions. That's why Sanchez would have been so perfect for us.
Would be a good signing. He scored goals in average team last year. Bags of pace. Good price. Can play wide. Probably wouldn't be oppposed to being on the bench sometimes. For 8.5 million I'd be all over this.
Get both, Bony and Remy with Borini being shipped out. We will have 4 decent strikers then
I think we only need three. Save the Bony money, add to it and throw it at Reus. Reus is a game changer. No idea if he's a realistic target, mind.

A goalscorer and would fit into the system perfectly. He's quite similar to Studge in playing style which is an advantage aswell.

I didn't think he could play wide. Yeah he goes wide sometimes to make runs but i wouldn't say he could play anywhere across the attack. His main starting position for Newcastle and QPR was through the middle.
