Loic Remy

This remy signing is fucking shit.
We've sold Suarez and we've not bid for messi or Ronaldo yet. Fucking joke. He'd better have an ace up his sleeve like Zidane or maradona, we could defo afford them with the 75mill.
I think they are both retired?

QPR would love to keep him, just like we would have loved to have kept Hannibal. It's a value signing that is guaranteed goals (with plenty of prem experience).

I'd rather £8.5m on Remy than £40M (and another 50k per week) for Benzema.

Why would you rather have Remy than Benzema?

Delighted. You can quote me on this.

He will be immense next season for us and will score 20+ goals.

Great great signing.

As for everyone banging on about another big signing??

Don't we have to reduce our debt? We've already spent over $100m

I don't see what people are so up in arms about:

QPR: 6 goals in 14 appearances
Newcastle: 14 goals in 24 appearances

Bony got 16 goals in 34 appearances last term and would cost 3 times the amount

£8m gets you nothing these days, in fact it gets you half a Fabio Borini. We need a larger squad next season with the CL coming round, and nobody has confirmed that he would be the only striker we'd sign along with Lambert..

I'm saying he has a pretty decent goals to game ratio in the Premier League for two different teams, and if he manages 6 games extra and grabs 3 more goals in the process, that'll be good enough for me.

4 of those 16 goals were penalties as well, hardly worth all the jizzing that has been going on.

He scored 25 goals for fucking Swansea yer biff

And?

I'll go slooooooooowley just for you this time...

Bony scored 16 goals in the Premier league, with me? lol, out of those 16 goals 4 of them were penalties.

Also Michu scored more for them the season before.

Michu had a worse goals per minute rate.

We are not buying Michu anyway.

I only mentioned Michu scored more PL goals the season before because you said 'it was for fucking Swansea' implying Bony scoring those goals was some sort of feat because he was playing for Swansea.

16 goals is still good, even with 4 pens, nothing worth wanking over though, nor is banging in goals in the Europa League.

Not sure why quite a few are against this. He is a very good player, who were linked with a few years ago if I remember rightly, and will do a really good job for us standing in for Sturridge as and when required. We needed strength in depth, for both the CL and as subs, and now we have Lambert (who offers something different) and Remy (more akin to Sturridge) to come off the bench as and when we need them ... I much prefer that to Aspas. Hopefully there will still be room for Ibe on that same bench.

Anyone getting 14 goals in a Newcastle side that shite is a decent signing as far as I am concerned. He is not a replacement for Luis, he is a squad played which is part of what we need for next season. I am happy with it.

Let's call it for what it is. An big upgrade on Borini, a squaddy, needed for the bigger season ahead. A great option on a Sunday away to stoke, after we played the previous Wednesday against Bayern, and Chelsea the week before.

Considering what our rivals' alternative strikers have done in the league:

Chelsea - Torres: 20 goals in 110 games (for Chelsea); Schurrle: 8 goals in 30 games
Arsenal - Giroud: 27 goals in 70 games; Podolski: 15 goals in 53 games
Man City - Dzeko: 46 goals in 108 games; Negredo: 9 goals in 32 games; Jovetic: 3 goals in 11 games
Man Utd - Rooney: 158 goals in 307 games; Hernandez: 37 goals in 101 games; Welbeck: 20 goals in 90 games
Spurs - Soldado: 6 goals in 28 games
Everton - Wait, they have their own strikers? Oh yes, Kone (11 goals in 34 games for Wigan; 0 in 5 for Everton)

We're so fucked with Lambert (28 goals in 75 games) + Remy (20 goals in 40 games) and/or Bony (16 goals in 34 games). So, so, fucked.
