Echo saying we're interested in him as a replacement for Sterling.

Interesting if true. This could be a Coutinho type low-risk, high-reward signing. Very talented player - he hasn't set Ligue 1 on fire since his move to Monaco a couple of years ago, but his stats aren't entirely unimpressive. 7 goals in his first season, and 6 goals last season. And this is mostly as a bit part player off the bench.

He could be very very good if developed rightly.
 
Is this the kid from argentina who was really highly rated and signed up by the bazillionaires at Monaco?

Went to Marseille for the 2nd half of last season (but only made 3 starts)

I wouldn't worry about those numbers as we will convert him into a defensive midfielder who will take over from Asier Illarramendi.
