Martial Law in Mancland

If he shares an agent with van girl, then its the two of them (van girl & his agent) lining their pockets at scum expense, before he fecks off to retirement in Hawaii at Christmas.

We are MASSIVELY overpaying (probably no more than a £20m player at this moment) but he looks like he could add quite a lot of pace to our attack which has been very limp so far. If he does then then I will be happy regardless of what we are paying.

You have pace with Memphis - and Januzaj (sp) isn't exactly slow!

Yeah, just a tad, seeing as you're paying 36 upfront and then about another 20-30 in addons. No panic buy here, move along, nothing to see.
This panic buy puts our andy carroll panic buy to shame - at least he'd had 6 good months.

You smacks of a last minute panic buy alright, but can't see many problems with it from a supporters perspective.

With Martial we paying dearly for potential, he may not reach those expectations but we are paying in full as if he has.

Have no idea how much the fee is yet and even less about how and when the add ons are payable. If they are payable only if he becomes a top player, plays a lot for us and we win then I'm not to bothered.

Anyway we have the cash so we can take these risks. If it doesn't work out the Glazers will have a little less personal cash if it does then we have a top player.

This season we have spent close to zero net so far, and done a decent job improving the squad and first XI.

Why loan Janazaj (young player with great potential) out to Dortmund and then pay a massive fee for another young player with great potential?

I can see many problems from a supporters perspective, you've ditched to two known quantities who you knew offered something, and splashed it all on a completely unknown quantity, who could very well offer nothing this season. Its a ridiculous decision, if Rooney gets injured you're completely fucked.

Well he will offer something, whether it is more than Januzaj or Hernandez I don't know yet.

You don't need something different, you need something consistent, if you'd already signed Benzema / Higuian / Cavani / etc this would be an exciting deal, however now he's your only striker signing and you've fucked off other members of the squad in those positions, this signing is worrying, it's like the Balotelli deal for us, except here the risk is in whether he can fulfill his potential and deal with that obscene price tag, not in whether or not he's a lazy muppet. I'd be furious if I was a supporter, although I say that, I'd probably get caught up in his hype because I'm a muppet like that.

I don't think it's good when United are spending money all over the place, something will work for them eventually. They have the money to spare, unlike us, they don't need every penny to count.

One of the add ons is if he wins the Ballon D'or.
We should have done the same with Origi.

Which is just as well because, by joves, they are spending a fuck load of money.

Everything may gel and they may end up an excellent side but, for all that money spent, they're still short at the back and up front.

Madness.

There's a massive difference between Henry and Anelka. How does he even bracket them? The similarities end at them being French and black.

This guy should be ace playing alongside Cavani and with Neymar on rhe wing. I'm starting to accept the fact that a point might be all we can hope for at Old Trafford.

On Twatter

Incidentally another tweet says Monaco have sold €182.5m this window!

- Martial €80m
- Kondogbia €30m
- Kurzawa €25m
- Carrasco €20m
- Abdennour €20m
- Ocampos €7.5m

Kondogbia for €30m was great business - and just what we needed.

SSN running a story saying Monaco VP Vadim Vasilyev has stated "It's true that the price for Martial is €80m (£57.6m) but take into account this sum includes bonuses which are very realistic"

Apparently the Mancs made bids of €30M, €40m, €50m and €70m until the final deal was reached @ €80m

I'm loving it that the last bit was made public. Who would accept a first (or second or third) bid from the Mancs from now on?
