I thought the word clunge did not exits outside the Inbetweeners

It's surprisingly how many words there are ending in 'nge' that are used to refer to ladybits.

Minge, clunge, flange . . .

I'd never noticed it until now, but its quite unusual

[article]Jose Mourinho's aura is well and truly gone after a sorry end to his Chelsea reign, and a shaky start to his Manchester United one. He has won only nine of his past 30 Premier League games for both clubs - a 30% win ratio. His first 196 English league games, all as Chelsea boss, yielded 136 wins - a 69% return of success.

For those keeping track of Sir Alex Ferguson's successors at Old Trafford, Jose's 21 points after 14 games with United is worse than under David Moyes (22 points) and Louis van Gaal (25). To give Mourinho a tiny sliver of comfort, they are sixth, three places above where they were under Moyes.[/article]

Well is going to challenge too 4 or just so enough to get another season?

Crazy to think if we slip up tonight they could be just 4 points behind us.

They had been playing well without winning for a couple of weeks but now they look almost inpressive.

Should we be worried or will they drop off again after Xmas?

We should do what I'm sure Klopp keeps telling the players to do, namely concentrate on our own game and not worry about anybody else. And of course we're going to challenge for top 4. There's no reason whatsoever to doubt it at the moment and I don't expect one to emerge later.

How the bitters might end up doing is a separate question. Koeman unfortunately is the best manager they've had since Noah floated the Ark and I don't expect them to fall away much if at all in the New Year, though I'd be happy to be proved wrong. The thing I'll be watching out (and hoping) for is any further sign of discontent from Koeman himself, especially if they don't buy anyone in January.

What a surprise to see that it's you who bumped this thread.

Heh.
It's like having our own little Duncan Castles on the site.
Every bit as annoying too.

Massive game all of a sudden next week.

We have to beat them.

6 wins on the spin for them and creating a lot of chances.

Don't see us beating them all things considered. Would probably take a point right now.

Hard to judge us.

Nobody has thumped us this season so I don't see us getting rolled easily.

Really depends how well we press and who takes Ibra.

We have all the tools to beat them, it's just whether we can.

I actually think playing them away from home may be a blessing.

OK, I'll bite. Why would playing your second team at their place be better than playing them at Anfield?

I imagine they will actually try and attack this time which should give us space to create chances.

Hopefully a rest for a bunch of players and Phil returning will also help us .

Fair comments, but I'm not sure I agree with the first bit. Old Twatford or not, I suspect Mourinho will still play it canny and not fully let them off the leash.

I'm confident about the Utd game, Klopp will get a serious reaction from yesterday.

We'll be fit and firing. I don't think they'll cope with our relentless pressing.

Yes. The Citeh game was an exception, and one in which Klopp proved (not that he needed to) that there's more in his locker besides gegenpressing, but normally we still press the bejabers out of opposition teams and we're well capable of doing that to ManUre. Whether we will or not remains to be seen, because Klopp will know that Mourinho's wily enough to have prepared for that, but I don't think our basic style has changed.

Yeah I'm not criticising it...bar the capitulation at Bournemouth and the disappointing draws to West Ham and Sunderland we're still winning games. Horses for courses and all that.

I reckon we'll press them hard given neither of their centre backs inspire confidence with the ball at their feet.
