I'm not sure I can afford this in the run up to Christmas, the Madrid and Hull games bled me dry. I really wish the club wouldn't dish them out in such big sales, it costs hundreds of quid in one go, and then you're left at the mercy of sky as to whether you'll be fucked over. I might still find a way to buy some though.

Yep, it's tough but I suppose people with season tickets have to cough up the money in one big chunk also.

I'll prob try for one or two games max.

Great, another morning staring at a countdown on a computer screen...straining every sinew to avoid pressing refresh.

It's painful isn't it? You get into the sales portal then only to hand over hundreds in cash.

FFS
Ticket office must have opened a little ahead of schedule.
Tried to get in just before the deadline and I am ij a queue over an hour long
I ain't getting any tickets today.

I was in on the dot of 8.15 and I've got over an hour left. It took me three minutes to get my Burnley ticket yesterday!

Over an hour left...Man City sold out, West Ham, Newcastle and QPR 'limited'. Ian Ayre must be laughing his tits off.

Over an hour left, and judging by the thermometer pogress will be 2.5 hours before I get in. Doubt there will be much, if any, left by then :(

The whole sale system is a joke.

They charge you for memberships and then let you buy tickets for exactly one game unless you have whatever number of games of last season recorded.

It's a rip off.

I need 2 tickets for Newcastle, QPR or Palace

Newcastle sold out
QPR Limited (edit - Sold Out while I was typing)
Palace Good

But I still have "over an hour" & by my ruler its about 2 hours .....

Oh well, back to beg, borrow or steal for the annual trip for me & the boy

Mate I have about twenty minutes left.
I can get you those tickets for the Crystal Palace game if they are left.
I was looking for the games against the hammers an QPR but both sold out.

If you can grab two together & dont need them yourself, I will be eternally grateful :)

The Palace match is, tantalisingly, still saying "Good"

I have less than ten minutes so I should be be able to get some for you.
It has to be two together right?
Any preferences where you sit if I get a choice?

Yes, needs to be 2 together

Lower Kemlyn, Kop End is preferred (thats where all my mates season tickets are), but I woudl be surprised if you get the choice; Kop after that, and then anywhere

Thank you !

Palace and United were showing availability as you needed 8 games on your card to purchase. Palace requires previous credits as it's the last game of the season.

I got in there now, all sold out really. Nothing will go into my basket.

Fuck that is why I can't get the Palace tickets.
Didn't kop it at all.
Sorry Tom for getting your hopes up:(

It's not letting me buy tickets saying I am not eleigible.
this is bullshit
Hey - thanks for trying anyway, really appreciate it.

I'll try other routes

Tomorrow I am on orders from my wife to buy tickets for Fleetwood Mac in Dublin, hope the ticketmaster experience is better than the LFC one ...

No trouble mate.I am just disappointed for you and the wee lad.

The whole sale system is a joke.

It's a tricky system. I usually borrow cards with credits to guarantee my tickets even though I have my own membership. It's lovely breezing into the first day of sale and picking your pairs in the Kop. Some difference to todays shambles.

I used my own membership for The FA Cup ACS. I'm going to go on a cup run in the new year. Mystic and the count have gotten themselves on the Champions League ladder. They will have CL tickets for life now with those cards once they keep purchasing. It's all about getting on the ladder. It's hard but can be done.

What you need is a network to share your card with. Don't try and get 14 games on the card straight off the bat. You wont be able to. What you do is pick up a ticket for any game you can, in members sales, late availability sales and then general sale. Take any ticket you can buy even if its seated at the back of Anny Road. A ticket is a ticket and there will always be someone willing to take it from you. If you get 8 games recorded on your card then the following season you will be allowed purchase united and Everton in the member sales. Once you get on that ladder you go for they holy grail the next season. Try get 14 games on you cards and never look back. You basically have a season ticket then.

A lot of the people with 14 credits on their cards have been recording those credits since the Hodgson era so I wouldn't begrudge them too much. Yeah it's costly to buy all those tickets but you can have them 'farmed' out before the sale even begins. Plus season ticket holders are expected to pay a large sum of money anyway to cover their tickets for the year.

Now that might not suit you mate as you are in Austria and only over for a game or two due to geographical location. You would benefit greatly from being a part of a network. The system is very frustrating for those who paid membership yet can't get a ticket.

It's a joke the system, my car insurance comes out today, as a result I can't afford to buy anything this month, how fucking brilliant that the sale for tickets for the rest of the season falls this month. I'll never understand selling tickets for the entire season over two three day periods, it's a dreadful system.

But it gets our money in the owners bank so they can start making interest on it

And it also cuts out the risk that in the event of us being shit again matches won't sell out like they did under Hodgson.
It was dead easy getting tickets back then:(
