Very historic photoshoot, that. It was due to the publicity it generated that Brian Fenwick and Lee Timtart invented the plastic hair clip. This poor woman had been forced to hold her hair in position for hours every day, leaving her with serious muscle and circulation issues. Thanks to the reaction to her plight, every woman in Liverpool was left with both hands free, thus making them much more deft at fiddling with footballers' bits.

A new home kit every season is a cunt's trick. Best one we've had for about 30 years and it's gone already! Wankers.

Agreed, I was broadly on board with the every other year concept. Gave us a good time to gel to the kit - takes me quite a few games to become accustomed to the home kit, and about 30 games later we are showcasing the new one.

So ive just popped into a couple of sports shops on Oxford Street and there are massive sections dedicated to Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Madrid, Barcelona etc, and a couple of our kids shirts left.

The positive part of me is ‘yay we sold out’

The realist knows we dont cater to the youth/sports market the same as these clubs.

You probably wont see this in Liverpool as im sure we are the shirts you see everywhere, but its really poor.

The kids want sportswear they can wear out, smart and fashionable, tracksuits, training tops everything.

My joke about this Gary shirt was tongue in cheek, and actually its probably a real shift in the right direction.

We need to sell a lot of this shit and get much better at being a brand. Christ Dortmund is better branded down here than Liverpool.

Thats us dumped in with the old shirts and retro world cup shirts.

Probably doesnt help that we are NB.
The shops are addidas, Nike and Puma heavens

Does anyone know when the contract with NB ends, and what are the possibilities of a switch to someone like Adidas or Nike?

I think there should be a first team shirt and a fan shirt. The design of the first team shirt should generally stick faithfully to the traditional template - a 'proper' red with white around the neck and cuffs, with as few embellishments as possible - and should be relaunched with slight changes every four years. The fan shirt should be given to the foppish designer geeks and relaunched every year, with whatever crap they want on it, and will never been worn by proper footballers, just the selfie-taking twats who now blight the game. The first team shirt would be premium priced to reflect it'll last for at least four years, the fan shirt would be priced to reflect an annual turnover (and they'll sell more than now without exploiting so shamelessly working class families).
Interestingly Macca it looks like Nike have gone down this road for the world cup.

There are two shirts for (eg) France, England, Portugal, Brazil etc.
One is *ulp* £100 and is all different materials (climacool, mesh etc) then there is another shirt that looks from anything more than 5 feet away identical, thats a more modest *cough* £55

They are both on sale but it looks like the player shirt is more limited.

I dont know if we will see this play out in the club sales but wouldnt be surprised.

Obviously you and I would have hoped the original £50 price point was the top price one and the ‘fan’ shirt around £20 or £30. Alas we are dreamers.
