De Boer, I have no real reason why I prefer him to the others. Although he would look good with a black suit and red tie on. Can't see Simone working for some reason. Klopp possibly. What about Koeman? That would be the logical choice, we have taken all their players, might as well take their manager. We probably have the chairman on speed dial!

All boring names.

I want someone who the world has never heard of.

Like an unfounded rookie Mourinho or a young Klopp when they first burst onto the scenes.

I vote this, for anyone who voted in this "spurs" like thread. Go home and don't come back to this site till you get some loyalty in yer bones.

I don't think I can be arsed to do this again. I attempted to keep things in perspective last year and completely lost it toward the end. I never was as convinced by Rodgers as by Benitez at his best, but I didn't think he would end up looking like a certain naked emperor, so quickly. The writing was on the wall over the summer though. I didn't have great expectations for this season, but I expected some competency.

I know how its going to go on here, its all so predictable. I remember how this felt the last couple times around. The names have changed and not much else.

Maybe I'm kidding myself and this miserable post is just my little part of that same predictable cycle, and of course, I'll keep watching. I've been made to. Each time we do this, though, the whole mythos and magic of Liverpool erodes that bit more, and it becomes more like watching the cyclical comings and goings of a company that has the wherewithall to keep going, but no great direction or solid management. Well, I'm intimately familiar with that sort of company, and all its boring joy.

Rodgers definitely started believing his own rhetoric last year, and others believed it to. Every manager looks like a genius when things are going swimmingly, even the ones that are quite obviously not that bright. It's more a time for some work now though, and time will tell if he's got it in him. It certainly doesn't look like it, and there won't be much time of course. The club have already indicated started sharpening the guillotine, you know, by saying that his future is safe. That's how it starts.

No chance of either De Boer or Klopp leaving their clubs during the season.

De Boer could be a chance for next season, but no chance of him leaving Ajax before then if Rodgers was sacked.

Klopp would not leave Dortmund if Rodgers were to be sacked before the end of the season ... and I'm 100% certain he will remain at Dortmund for season 15/16

Simeone is a quality manager but I'm not sure he is the right fit for LFC with the way he carries on in the dugouts. Disgraceful. Mourinho has nothing on Simeone's antics.

We all know whats gonna happen. If br gets sacked then Rafa will be bought back in.

Nope i think they will try de boer or klopp. What has Benitez done at Napoli to be mentioned. Going back and getting old managers in most cases does not work. I want a manager to work with young talent and nurture and develop them, both de boer and klopp fit that bill
