Right, been months since I started a thread and now two in five minutes.
Odegaard is apparently coming to Melwood to go through the facilities and speak with Rodgers. He's an unabashed Liverpool fan so you can see where we could have an advantage over some other clubs. He's apparently already visited Madrid and is scheduled to do the same with City, Bayern and Ajax.
It's not easy getting much viewing time of his matches but I've watched or recorded when I can.
He's got the dribbling skills and flair you'd expect from a kid dubbed as potentially the best in the world. He's also got a nice change of pace and can see a pass if not at the same level of Coutinho.
What has made me think he would be a good signing is his ability to ride tackles and hold off players. For a 15 year old to be doing that against grown men is a great sign - he doesn't look like going down and is happy to scrap it out for the ball where necessary. Added to this is his quick thinking - he sees plays clearly ahead of many of his teammates and its obvious that many of them have to react to opportunities they never saw the potential of until he set it up.
I'm sure there are others who've been watching him far more closely this season so what is the consensus? Is he someone we should be making an effort for? Does he look a certainty or is he mostly just hype?
