Same price as Ozil? No way mate. He's good, but he's not that good.
Put it this way, if we paid that for him how would you feel about it? I'd be livid.

I'd be more than happy if we signed Aaron Ramsey, his injury record would be the only concern, a big concern at that.

Cabella is going to be a fantastic signing for Newcastle.

I can see him going to a top 4 team this time next year.

Newcastle very unlucky to lose that ... good match for them and if they had had any striker who could finish then they may even have won that. More than enough good chances.

City are the same as the rest of the title contenders, hardly hitting the ground running and will need to step up a lot next week.

I'd sign him up, he's good, but I can think of better ways to spend 40mill. 30 mill after another decent and injury free season? Yeh man.

Is blowing smoke up another's arse a derogatory thing? Or does it depend upon the recipient?
I know that arse kissing is generally a favourable thing with regards to the recipient and comments in regards to said recipient, but I'm not sure how the whole smoke blowing thing works.
Surely, blowing smoke up another's arsehole would require the smoke blower to adopt a rather masochistic position in any such arrangement, so I can only assume it's akin to kissing his arse?
That and the fact that he won this weekend so maybe it would be silly to berate him at the moment.

Anyone care to elaborate and clarify?

Thanks in advance.

It's mostly a complimentary thing similar to arse kissing. They're full of praise for him at the moment but it's so exaggerated, they didn't play particularly well and he still hasn't addressed a lot of the things they berated him for a couple of months ago.

So the cycle of building him up (blowing smoke up his arse) to knock him down is set to continue, Arsenals season will eventually fall apart and they will start the Wenger must go / needs to buy player X campaigns again.

Unless they do they invincibles thing again and we'll never hear the end of it.

Thanks for the clarification, Markeh. Are we to take it from that that Monsieur Wenger enjoys such activities? Surely, if this was not to be the case, it wouldn't be a complimentary gesture, which would negate their intentions.
Strange man, if this is indeed the case.

On the subject of Arsenal, yeah I can see where you're coming from. Thanks.

He's French so he probably enjoys the literal version. I don't know why I listen to that radio station really, it's so Arsenal focused.

So far relatively even affair, but Chelsea haven't attempted to get out of first gear.

Schurrle 1-2

Greay goal. Fabregas taking the piss with the assist

That's gonna be one of the goals of the season. The build up, assist then run and finish were all great.

Chelsea look good. Very solid and the creative force of Fabregas.
Favourites for the title imho.
