This is the silliest of silly season rumours. Old skool silly season when Eto, Benzema, Henry and any number of unlikely candidates were house-hunting on the Wirral.
He's certainly not a player FSG would sign - way over 26 with no sell-on value and huge wages - so if he did come it would at least confirm beyond doubt who decides on transfers. But I can't see Klopp wanting him at this stage.
Give over.. We have just made a silly amount from the sale of Coutinho.. We 'can' afford to dabble in these markets once in a while, when we have that kinda cash behind us..
If we let Studge go for 30 million.. That will pay for Ozil, and without even touching the Coutinho money. He is also eligible for the Champions League..
Origi will then likely be recalled.. Nothing spent other than on Ozils wages, which likely only be a bit more than what we are currently paying Studge to not play...
Business probably will be done till the summer

@ibromurph is spot on - he could be that player we need for games when the opposition park the bus. If he was happy being a rotated player than I can absolutely see a place for him. I wonder if he would want to 'learn' the pressing game in his latter years though, or find a team that will use him solely as a luxury player. I'd have him in the squad in a heartbeat, but use him only when he fits the game's needs.

The only logic I see to this is that we've not bothered to spunk the extra quid to bring in Naby Keita earlier and instead plan to use the money to bring in a talented player who will be turning 30 in 9 months time, but eligible for Champions League too.
I thought his being lazy was a myth and the stats showed he was one of the hardest runners in that team. Am I thinking of someone else?
